Casey James in Sacramento, Ca. tonight....and a New Poll!

Well, tonights show in Sacramento, Ca. was a short but sweet one!  Casey took the stage about 10 pm PDT, as part of radio station KNTY's Howl-o-ween concert at the Double Tree Hotel....and 10 there, made it 12 am Texas time!  There was a very clear conference call that I listened in on, thanks to Cecil!!  Girl....you have the clearest phone I think I've ever heard on a CC!!!  Thanks so much!!    There is a recording of the short show on The Casey James Blog, if you would like to listen to it!!  The only bad thing was.....and it's pretty common when you are in a bar setting, there was so much chatter in the forground!!  At one point, I thought I heard an all out fight going on between a girl and a guy!!  Did anybody else hear that??  Or was I hearing things??   I was about half way expecting to hear Casey quit singing and say.....'what's going on over there'....lol.... as if he really would, right?  :D    I know there was a girl yelling over and over!!  Maybe we will learn more about this tomorrow, and we'll all know if I'm nuts or not!  LOL!!!

Ok, here is Casey's Set list in order as he sang:

He Stole Our Love Away

If you'll notice at the top of the page on the left sidebar......there is a new poll!!!   I love polls!!!!   Recently, Casey started singing us a new, but very 'UNTITLED' song!  So in this poll......I just want to know what his Fans want to name it....since he said he 'thought we would figure something out'.   Well, let's just figure it out for him!!  Let's name Casey's newest original music!!  I will give choices of what I've seen others say, so we'll have a few good choices.  If you are a new fan and have no clue which song I'm talking about, click on the link at the top of the page that says "Casey's Music" and it will be the last song on the list.  A very nice video!!  Ok.....let's name a song....yall!!!  :)
(For the record....this is just for fun, there is no obligation on Casey's part to name the song what we pick.  Just so ya know.)

Ok, yall come back tomorrow and see the new pictures and videos after they come in!  It will probably be tomorrow afternoon before I get them on, since my day starts about 11:30 am!  :)   I'll announce it on  **CASEYMANIA** THE FACEBOOK PAGE!!  Ha Ha!!  I still like saying that!!  Ha Ha!!  :D

Casey James performs a noontime show in San Jose, Ca. plus more....

Casey played an Acoustic, intimate, little show today at Neto's Market & Grill, sponsored by 95.3 KRTY radio station, in San Jose, California!!  There wasn't a huge crowd of people there and so the Casey fans were able to get close to the stage, and enjoy another great show by Casey!  There is still not a lot of talk about the show, that I can find, but there were at least 3 videos gotten, and I'll post them.  There was a conference call of the show, but I wasn't able to participate in this one!
Here is his 9 song setlist....and yep, you guessed it.....another very unique show!  He's really good at that....you'll never see a carbon copy of the same show.....at another show.....um um.....ain't gonna happen!  His shows are as unique as he is!!  You never know what to expect!!  :)

Ok, here's the videos I have for ya.....and some of my favorites!!!  :)

Let's Don't Call It A Night

Great big thanks to TiffBenton for these 3 videos!

I want to talk, for a minute about a couple things.  I have moved Caseymania into the 21st century and it is now on Facebook!!  I'm very excited about this so please click the link below and 'LIKE' the page to stay up with all things Casey James!  I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I was struggling with the fact of 'needing' to do it or not.  And I think it was time.... and we've had a great response!  When you 'like' the page, remember the number that you are, because it may be beneficial to you in the future.  You can get your # by counting the people on the sidebar.  I guess I could do the same thing with your name.....right?   Hmmm I may do away with the number thing.....but, anyway, I'm gonna do something fun later on, when I get the first 200 people who like the page.  I have a lot of ideas swirling around in my head, so what are ya waiting for....let's LIKE Caseymania on Facebook!!

Casey has been tweeting some, here lately, and a couple days ago he tweeted this absolutely ADORABLE picture to us!  It is a picture sent to him from the Kids at St. Jude!  Yall might remember when Casey was part of Country Cares and visited the children at the  Memphis hospital in January of this year.  Country Cares is a fundraiser made up of Country Music Stars, started by Alabama frontman, Randy Owens, many years ago.  If YOU would like to make a donation in Casey's name, you can do so by clicking the link above, (Country Cares).

We have all been voting for Casey's video on the CMT show Top 20 Countdown".  Voting begins on Monday's at 11am and closes the following Sunday at midnight.  The new show will first air on Friday at 10am central time, and then repeats several times throughout the week.  I don't know if it made it onto this weeks show, but lets watch it and see.  It says on the website you only get one vote, but if you vote again, it thanks you for the vote.....so, I'm not sure if we can or cannot vote more than once, but I vote more, just in case I can! :)  At the present Casey's fans are relentless and he stands strong at #1!!  But I don't know if he was at #1 on Sunday, when voting ended.  If we can just keep him in that spot a few more days, he should debut his new video on the show at a very impressive #1, that is if he doesn't make it on this weeks show!!!!!  If that doesn't get him some attention, I don't know what will!!  :)

Also, another vote we need to get in for Casey is the CMT Pure 12 Pack, where Casey's video made #1 last week!!!!  So yall keep up the good work and let's keep Casey in that #1 spot where he belongs!!  :)

And one more thing before I go....Please remember to call your local radio station daily and request Casey's song!!  It's so important to keep his single moving up the charts!  He had made it into the Top 40 last Sunday, and by Monday was at #38, but I'm afraid that might be because of a couple of songs dropping off the list, or other going recurrent.  He may not have that bullet, which I think....means that it's on it's way up....still moving up the charts.  I'm not real savvy on all this radio jargon but I think thats what it means!  So by requesting and getting it played, we can keep it moving up with a bullet, which is GOOD!!!  lol....

Casey has one more show, it's in Sacramento, California later tonight!  It's at the Doubletree Hotel, and part of KNTY 101.9 radio's 6th  Howl-o-ween Concert!  Doors open at 8:00pm and the show starts at 9:00.  Also at the gig with Casey are Bomshel, Ty Stone, Amber Hayes and The Farm.  This, sounds like a very cool show!!!  And....since it's a Halloween show, I'll post this awesome photo somebody made from Casey's Vampire scenes on the AI Ford commercial!!  I love this!!!!

Ok, yall....I'm tired and I need to get out of here....but remember, vote, request, and 'LIKE' .....the 3 things we need to do the most!

Until next time.....

Casey James rocks Modesto, Ca. Girls Night Out!!

I'm still in the process of gathering information about this show from Modesto, California, but check back soon for details!

Casey took the stage at Fat Cat Music House and Lounge at about 9:30 tonight for an acoustic show, celebrating Girls Night Out, along with sponsoring  radio station KAT 103It is all part of the station's Kat Country Cares Concert series and all the proceeds are going to benefit the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign!!  I just love all this different cancer support during the month of October!  It's awesome!!

I listened in on a very clear conference call and the only part I have trouble hearing is when he's talking, but the rest was great!!  Thanks to Cecil for calling in so the rest of us could enjoy the show as well!!  Here is a couple tweets from @marieleathem1

Marie Leathem
Hair is down....shirt he had on in Boston.

Marie Leathem
I just got a Casey hug...poked my head in the door to give him the cookies..."hey how are (cont)

Marie Leathem
Just got to go in for the M&G, Casey said "Hey Marie, how ya doin?" Yeppers. My name. Then I told him we'd ee him tmrw & Friday but I'm not stalking him....he rubbed my back and laughed. Cute.

Thanks Marie for all your tweets, keeping us 'in the know' about all the goings on there!!  So glad to hear you got your Casey Hug and....he remembered your name!!  :)

I have to say right now.....that was one loud and wild crowd tonight all cheering and whistling and clapping before during and after every song!!  Wooo hooo!!  Everyone seemed to be having a blast!!  One person even yelled out....."I Love You!!!" and in his sweet little way, he yelled....."love ya too!!"   So precious..... when he does things like that, it tells me he is so grounded and grateful....not at all thinking he is better than anyone else....he's just a good ole' boy from Texas!! :)  One who doesn't even know how great he is!!  But that kind of attitude is exactly what he will keep as he gains more and more fame.  I don't think he'll ever see himself as a star!!  But we all know better....he'll always be our star, no matter what the future holds for him!  :)

It's still a little early for pictures or videos, but I'm sure some will be coming in either later tonight or tomorrow sometime!
He sang an 8 song set and I don't think he had to ask the crowd once...."Are yall still with me?"  LoL!!!  They were loving what he was doing, and I can't wait to see everything from that show!!
Below is the set list in the order he sang each song:

"Love the way you Miss Me"....(actually the 'untitled' song)

"The Good Life"

"Let's Don't Call it a Night"

"Shine Your Shoes"

"Jailhouse Blues"

"The Rock"

"Undone

"Polk Salad Annie"

Ok yall, I'll be back with all the goodies as soon as they are in!!  So check back soon!!  :)

Casey James hits TOP 40 with "Let's Don't Call It A Night"!! New pictures & articles

Casey's single has found it's way to the TOP 40!!!!  Yes!!  That's what I'm talking about!!!  Now, things will get better, the more stations pick it up!!  People all over are really loving this song, AND the video!!  The song jumped 4 places this week to #40, making it exactly 69 days, from starting to now!!  Just a little over 2 months!!  That's remarkable to me!!  I know it seemed like forever, but the song is moving at a good pace for a debut single.  I've looked into some of the BIG stars singles and how long it takes them to get to #1 and as an example I'll use Blake Shelton.  I looked at one of his recent hits (can't remember which one now) and how long it was on the charts before hitting #1 and it was around 5 months.....so see....it takes a little while to get there!  :)  Good going, all the fans, requesting the song and all the voting and using the mediabase request forms!!  It's working, and it continues to work!!  Now that the song is in the Top 40 there should be more radio stations coming on board, willingly!

Just a couple reminders.....CMT now has the video for LDCIAN on their Top 20 Countdown Voting page !!  So we need to vote for it, every day.  I still don't know if you only get one vote per day, I always thought you could vote multiple times, but someone said today, you can't.  So, at this time, I have not resolved that issue, but I'm working on it!
And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I just want to remind everyone how important it still is to get those requests in!!  Only NOW, we should start hearing that request!  I know there are a lot of us who request (yours truly*raising hand*) that never get to hear it.  (Are ya getting all this KSCS & KPLX???)  <<< Even my own and Casey's hometown HUGE market stations are not on board yet!  I'm so dissappointed, but there's nothing else I can do but request & wait!!  But at least now, with it being in the top 40, I think at least one of them will play it soon!  *crossing fingers*  By the way, here's how it looks on the Mediabase Charts....thought yall just might wanna see it!!

It was such good news Casey even tweeted!!!!  And boy, is he excited!!!!

Casey Everett James
Ok wow. Glad I checked in.I finally broke intoTop 40. Number 1 on the CMTpure 12 pack COUNTDOWN. Y'all are awesome. Thank you all so much!

Casey Everett James
Now I gotta get some sleep. Gonna put some more guitar on the album tomorrow. Oh yeah. Love it. Night y'all. :)
I'm so glad to see how much he appreciates us fans!  I told him, "We love what you do, so supporting you is easy!"  It's so cool to see him thanking us for something he did!!  All we did was ask for it, the song speaks for itself, it's great!

I came across a recent article on the Casey E James Fan Club on Facebook, and let me tell you.....it is exactly what us Casey fans needed to hear!!  A lost soul who was a Lee fan during Casey's time on Idol, has seen the light!!!  Yall need to read what this girl has to say!!  I was blown away!!!  I'm just gonna copy and paste it, I like it so much!!!  Read on.....

Former 'American Idol' Contestant Casey James' Releases "Let's Don't Call It A Night" Video

Casey James - Let's Don't Call it A NightYou may remember Casey James from American Idol’s ninth season as the guy who finished third behind Crystal Bowersox and winner, Lee DeWyze. Or as the doofus who took his shirt off in his initial audition because cougar-on-a-mission judge Kara DioGuardi told him to, or maybe as the surprise of “Lennon/McCartney” night who rendered many speechless with his perfect rendition of John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.”
The point here is that you remember him; and if you don’t it’s time to get re-acquainted with the guy CMT is calling the “Next Big Thing” and recently debuted the video for his first post-Idol single, “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night.”
During Casey’s run on Idol I was constantly conflicted with him; he’s a really good-looking guy and I think it helped him as much as it hindered him. I almost think Idol was a step back in his career with Kara constantly gushing all over him which reduced to him to nothing but a pretty face in the eyes of many viewers. Then he made top three and I was conflicted again because it was clear by this point Casey was above these other contestants, musically and vocally. He played a beautiful, bluesy rendition of almost every song he did for the show and won the praise of Idol judge Randy Jackson as being a very accomplished guitarist.
“Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” is a fun, sultry country song that plays out slowly and seductively in the new video, and we’re reminded of what was special with Casey to begin with. I was so obsessed with dull-as-dirt Lee DeWyze that I didn’t give Casey the respect and time he deserved, and dismissed him pretty early on. I’m not sure why it’s taken this long for a single to be released when Casey was signed to Sony Music Nashville  in August of last year but the timing is perfect with the country/Idol surge coming from last season’s Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. James’ Wikipedia page says there’s an album coming in 2011 but, no further information is offered, as soon as it is, I’ll have it here.
Here’s the video, let me know what you think, is this what you expected from Casey?

Thank You HIPPIEGIRLHEATHER!!!

Now that the single is in the Top 40, another fun thing we can do, just to do it, is a place called Yes.com.  What that is, is a site that you register and follow your favorite artist(s) singles spins.   When any radio station plays it, it pops up on the yes.com screen and tells you who played it and what time.  And they stay on the page, so when you log in the first time, there will be a list of stations that have played it, and what time they did.  You can invite your friends and there's a chat window right below where the info comes up about the spin.  So you can watch it in real time!!  Now....right now, there's not that many spins, but when he's up there with Carrie and Keith, then you can see how fast it will go, with literally 100's of plays a day!

Here are some awesome shots from the KSON radio station, from the show last night in Lakeside, Cal.  Let me warn you....these are extrememly good!!!  REAL good!!!  (couldn't think of another adjective to save my life!!) LOL!!!

Ok....is everybody still standing upright?!  Those are some awesome pictures right there!!  Big thanks to KSON for these beautiful photos!!

Ok, yall, I'm beat, so I'll be back when we have breaking news!!  Yall be safe....and keep those requests going!!

Until then.....

Casey James live at KSON Country Fest in Lakeside, California

Updated with Videos at the end of this post!

There's still not a whole lot from this show tonight.  Actually this afternoon....he took the stage a little early at about 4:20pm in Lakeside, Ca. for the KSON 97.3 & 92.1 Country Fest.  He had the full band with him, so I'm very anxious to see the videos.  He played "The Good Life" (faaaaa*vorite*) and "Undone" (quickly becoming a faaaa*vor*ite) with the Band, and I don't remember hearing The Good Life with the Band before.  At this time I don't have any videos from this show, but I certainly hope some come in tomorrow!!
It was an 11 song set, and although I was on the conference call, I had to hang up about 20 minutes in because I couldn't hear it anymore.  But thanks to Sheryl Clark for calling in for us!!  She will usually have pictures for us, maybe tomorrow sometime.  Anyway, here are the songs.

There is a very nice article in the hometown issue of "Your Parker County" which is published by the local paper, "The Community News".  The article is based on an interview they had with Casey just before the Billy Bobs show on July 1st.   It's so good to hear something different.  This piece focused on Casey as a guitar player/singer/songwriter!!   That is just so refreshing to read!!!  A great big Thank you to them for an excellent write up!!  A lot of us have long tired of the same old Kara questions and the shirt questions and the good looks questions....Casey is about as far away from all that as any person could be.  He just had some unfortunate things happen to him, and some media just can't leave it alone.  Thank goodness some people, beside his family, friends and fans see the incredibly talented person he is and want to focus their write up on that!  I say it's about time!!  To read the entire article that will leave you with a warm feeling in your heart....click HERE.

Ok, I'm outta here for tonight, there should be videos and more pictures sometime tomorrow, so yall check back then!

Boston Mass. welcomes Casey James to Ned Devines Irish Pub!

Hey everybody!!  Well, it was a great show tonight in Boston!  I listened in on the conference call, and it was pretty clear, most times!!  Big thanks to Margherita for doing the call for us!!

Is that not the cutest picture ever!?!  It was re-tweeted by someone named Ginny, but not sure if she is the owner, but thanks to whoever owns it....Love it!!!!

As Casey was getting started he said that he had been in the studio this week, and one of the songs he recorded was the 1st one......."Drive"!!  I'm so glad to hear that!!  And as he was preparing for the next song,  he said he didn't realize it until afterwards, but the 'untitled' song could mean a lot to the folks at Camp Pendleton, where he played last week, as the song speaks of missing someone you love and wishing you were together, and that could mean something to those in the military and away from home.
He then talked some about his flight to NY, saying he thought the plane was going to be full, so he 'checked' his guitar, which he usually doesn't do, and there were about 4 people on the whole flight!!!   Then he halfway said out loud, what he should play next.  Well, of course  Casey fans jumped on that right quick!!  "So Sweet!!" yelled 2 or 3 people from the crowd, including one guy!!  Casey hadn't done an acoustic of this song since he was in.....Ohio I think.  So it was different from what he had been doing acoustically.  And.....he said he "laid it down on Monday".....he thinks!  Oh my goodness....  it's true!!!!  "Untitled" is gonna be on the album....maybe!!!   I guess laying it down doesn't automatically mean it's on the album.....but I'm stoked about it anyway!!!!  Love that song....whatever the title is!!!  :)
He seemed to be in a very good mood and talked quite a bit!  Here is a list of the songs he sang, in order they were sang!

I just can't believe my ears sometimes!!  Just when I think I have heard every genre of music Casey can perform, he surprises me again!!!  And this time.....believe this or not.....it was a "Bluegrass" song!!   It was an old tune, called "Jailhouse Blues"....and he NAILED IT!!!  More and more, I'm believing he has got to be a gift from God to all of us here on earth....it's the only way to describe how I feel.  There is nothing he can't do!!!  Literally!!  His talent far surpasses everything I thought he was, in the beginning!!  I knew he was talented, but he continues, almost 2 years later, to show us new and interesting music he can do!!  He beats all I've ever seen!!  *shaking my head in disbelief*.....

I couldn't open that link on the tweet above, maybe yall can....hope so!!  Would love to see the pics they have!!

The #4 song was one I hadn't heard Casey sing before, and the name of it is, "$50 and a Flask of Crown" by Bleu Edmondson.  Bleu is a  artist that leans more, (imo) toward the "Texas Red Dirt" music.  Another of his popular tunes is "Finger on the Trigger".

If you would like to see the 'official video' of Bleu Edmondson singing $50 and a Flask of Crown, just click HERE.

And as I was about to be out of here, I found this....Casey is talking to Fox News about his debut album!!!  I love it when he gets this media attention!!  It was loaded to YouTube just recently, so I'll just post it, instead of trying to post the original.

And....just as I was leaving.....he Tweeted us this Yellow Note!!!

That is one very sweet guy....just sayin'

Ok, yall....that's all I have for now, if more comes in, I'll post it for yall!!
And....if there are any of you wondering.....my little dog, Brandy is doing good!    She had her first treatment for the heartworms on Wednesday, and we've had to keep her very calm, no excitement at all, if possible.  If any of you have ever owned a Boxer, you know how difficult that is to do, cause they are full of energy.  But she did pretty good the last couple of days, only running around a couple of times.  And I've had to monitor her for any signs of pneumonia, because the treatments can cause it, and you have to get rid of it quickly.  Only a couple of gags, not coughs, today.  She is still eating and drinking good, so no problems.  BIG Thanks to everyone who is  keeping her in your good thoughts and prayers, I appreciate it so much!!

And one more AWESOME thing!!!  Most of you know we have all been voting for Casey and "Let's Don't Call It A Night" on CMT's Pure 12 Pack.  Well, I have incredible news!!!!  He is #1!!!!  Yes!!!  I almost didn't believe my eyes, because he was #11 last week, and I think the week before too.  But this week....all the Casey fans came together in a BIG way and put our boy in the #1 spot!!!  I am so thrilled about this!!  That tells me, when it gets on the voting page of the Top 20 Countdown on both CMT and GAC, it is gonna fly right on down that too!!  It may take a little longer, because there are more people voting, I think, but I believe WE can do it....for Casey!!  He deserves this so much!!!  Thank you to all the fans for working hard to get him to #1 in just a few short days!!   Click the link above to view the video in it's #1 spot!!!

UPDATED with new photos below!!

Thanks to Margherita (@AintItBeautiful) for all these beautiful shots!!!

Casey James getting lots of media buzz....a new show & much more!

Hey!!  How's everybody doing??  I've been so busy voting here and requesting there, I have neglected my duties here!!!  So I will fill yall in on what's up and try to do it without taking all night!   Ok, listen to this first......I pulled the electric heater out for the first time last night!!  :)  :)   It got down to 47* last night!!!  And it rained like crazy a couple days ago, so we're feeling good here in Texas!   At least the hot summer is over and we're getting signs of beautiful fall weather!!  Yay!!  :)

It has been a crazy few days with Casey's name being out there in many places!!  I am so excited for him!!  His video is getting all kinds of attention from all kinds of places!  In magazines, on facebook, on twitter.....just everywhere!  I'm so happy about all this exposure!!

I read that Casey's single is setting at #41 this week!!!  Eeeeeekkkk.....we're almost there!!!  Yall keep requesting at your local radio stations and on the Mediabase Links I have in the Support section above!!  I know, some of the radio stations never play your request, but don't give up, these larger market stations won't usually play a new artist until it at least breaks into the Top 30 or 40.  So just keep requesting whether they play it or not, because they will remember all these requests and his name when they do!!

And.....before I forget.....when Casey's single moves into the Top 40, (hopefully by next week) we can hear his song on the long time running syndicated radio show, "Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40" show on Sundays.  If you go to the bottom of the page, look on the right and you'll see 'Find CT40 near you' and click that & it will ask for your zip code, then brings up stations to listen to close to you, that are running the show.  And I just l*o*v*e Bob's voice....I could listen to him all day, and his show takes a few hours, so I love listening in on Sundays when I can.

There are quite a few places to vote for Casey, so I am just gonna line 'em all up and you can click on each one, rather than me talking about each one.  I need to get back to the requesting and voting thing soon....so I'll make it easy for yall!!  Here we go!

A new show has been added to Casey's November schedule.  He's coming back to the east coast.....are yall ready??  Casey will be playing an acoustic set at the Kat Country Jam on November 14th at the Fillmore, at the NC Music Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina!  You can purchase your tickets by clicking HERE, they are already on sale!  96.9 The Kat radio is sponsoring this event which will be a benefit for theSt. Judes Childrens Research Hospital  On the radio website (click above) there is lots of information and how to get your VIP tickets!  But hurry, tickets went on sale Tuesday morning at 10:00am.  Other artists joining Casey in this awesome show are fellow Texans, The Eli Young Band, Thompson Square, and James Wesley.  This sounds like a great line up, so whoever gets to go, yall have a great time!!  :)

Casey is mentioned twice in the latest issue of Country Weekly!!  I have to get my subscription going again, instead of having to try and find it at Wal-Mart!!  Sometimes it's sold out before I can get there.  He was put in this picture along side Jack Ingram and Brett Eldridge, in the Style section of the magazine, talking about all the guys being dressed in black, and mentioning Casey's very cool boots!!  ;)  woooo, I'll say it again......VERY cool boots!!!  Gotta love that design on the toe!!  It looks very ummmmm...... Texas....in my opinion.....but it could be very California, or New York....they are known for their style.....but naaaaaaa, surely he bought them in Texas.....or Nashville..... lol....   :)

And he was also mentioned in the same issue about being on the Red Carpet at the ACM Honors.

I don't know if I've told yall before, but Casey has a page at CMT, so if you want to take a look at it and see his video, click HERE.

And...... CMT News' Alison Bonaguro is right on the $$ with her assessment of this video and Casey! Click HERE to see what she had to say!

And.... a little closer to home, our own DFW.com spoke about our homeboy's new video...... "I spoke of this earlier this week, but this morning,CMT went ahead and uploaded a slew of new videos to it's website, including this one, from American Idol alum/former Keys Lounge fixture, Casey James.  It's an appropriately steamy clip for such a sultry tune."  For the rest of the story click HERE.

Ok, my little sweets..... I have a few pictures from the awesome show the other night in Roanoke Va. from Barbara.  These are very cute.....I just love him in pink!!!  Yea.....real men wear PINK!!!  :)  And he was rocking it that night!!  lol!!!
