New Single and Video for Casey James!

Hey yall!  Wow, it has been a long time since I was last here, but I'm back and we are gonna try this again.  I've been going through some personal issues, but I'm in a better place now, and things are happening in Casey's world again.  His 1st single off the sophmore album has been released a month or so ago and they just now finished working on the video last night.  It'll still be a couple weeks to a month before it's released to CMT and GAC.  I hope we get a 'behind the scenes' look at how it all happened.  I just love those videos, there's usually quite a bit of funny stuff...my favorite!

So, I finally got to go to a Casey show after a year!!  He was only 2 hours from me and I had to make it to this one.  But, when I learned it was for the military and their family and friends, I was excited for them, but my heart sank... and I just knew I couldn't go.  Then I remembered, my neice, Shannon lives right in Killeen, just a couple miles from Fort Hood, where the show was happening, and her hubby is in the military!!  I couldn't wait to ask her to please go & let me go with her!!  Much to my surprise, their family was already going!!  So me and my buddy Suzette, jumped right in with them and headed to the Stadium where the show was happening.  Casey was opening for Trace Atkins!  So we get there pretty early and the gates were opening at 5.  We saw a line of people and I thought.....omg....we will never get to the front of that stage....that HUGE stage....so far away!!  So we were looking around and somebody found a shorter line going in on the side, so we all took off and I had already told the young ones, "Run, just as fast as you can and save the old lady, me, a spot!"  So they did and so were other people and I trotted along behind them, being careful not to step in any potholes and land on my face!  Finally I get up there and low and behold, them kids had made it to the front center of the stage!!  I couldn't believe our luck!  So the rest of the family was busy laying down blankets a few feet behind us and in just a little bit we saw some man come to the stage and welcome us, and he introduced some people and then it was time to introduce Casey!!
So I had texted Debra to see if she was there, and within 2 minutes she was right up there hugging and meeting new fans & cheering her baby boy on with all of us!! :)

Nice crowd in Fort Hood!  Casey is just so entertaining!  He is so not the same artist we all came to love from American Idol!  He is SO much better now!  So where is Ellen now??  I bet she can't say "I want to see you entertain more"... because he is such a great entertainer now!!  I told Debra at the show that it's his 
"Casey-isms" that makes him so good!!  He is so unique in a fabulous way! :)

Heres Debra and I just before the show started.  Never mind my big mouth open, I have no idea what I was doing... lol.  But Debra looks lovely as always!  It was great to get to hang out with her, she is always fun!

As a lot of you already know, Casey went to the studio to join the very talented classic group, The Doobie Brothers!  They have composed an album of their biggest hits and a handful of country artists came on board to help them recreate those hits.  Casey got to be one of the artists they chose.  He recorded a song with them that most everyone has heard at one time or another.  He was hoping it would be this song and it was!!  Check out Casey singing "Jesus is just alright" on the newly released album, "Southbound"  Click HERE to get yours!

New single coming soon!!

Hey ya'll....how's everyone doing?  I know, it's been a while since I announced we were coming back, and I apologize for the long wait, but there just hasn't been a whole lot to write about.  With Casey working diligently on Album #2 in Nashville, and no tour schedule....well, it's been a bit of a Casey James dry spell.  But I think there are a lot of fans more than ready to rock out to some Casey live shows!!  Am I right??  We recently got word, he's still working on the album and about 1/2 done.  He and Sony Nashville are gearing up to release a *NEW SINGLE* in about 6 weeks!!!  That is so exciting to hear!!  We've all had a long, very looong winter and are ready for some much needed spring fun!!  So get your phones charged up and ready to call your local country radio station and request that new single when it drops in a few weeks!!
We don't know yet which song it will be, (because we don't know what songs will make the cut for the album) but I'm sure many of us are hoping for "A Womans Touch" to be the 1st one!!  If you are a new fan to Casey James, here is a video of this beautifully written, sultry & sexy song!!  Every woman will fall in love with this gem!! Casey has a show coming up next weekend in Las Cruses, N.M. at the Las Cruses Country Music Fest.
He will be taking the stage Saturday, April 26th.  For more information click the link above!  I hope many Casey Fans get to show up for him, since this is the only show we know about right now!

Ahhhhh.....  I'm here to tell you right now.....nobody sings a love song like Casey James!!  Nobody!!  He has this uncanny ability to bring you right into the music and lyrics with him...and make you think he's singing just for you.  That is an artist my friends....an artist with God given talent.  He was born to do this.... and I for one am so glad God chose him.

Changes to Caseymania!

Hey yall!  I'm getting ready for Casey's 2014 Tour Schedule to be released to the public very soon so I'm getting things ready around here, cleaning some house, if ya will.... I want to thank 'bosjerseygirl' for her awesome photo of Casey James that is now the lead photo!  It is just beautiful, so I moved the lettering around so we could see all of his face without words all over it... lol... And green really looks good on Casey!  Theres a little bit of news, not much since Casey has been off for the winter.  But, we did find out that Casey is being sponsored this year on his tour by @LMCTruck, a magazine about....well you guessed it....trucks!  :-)

Hello everyone...I just wanted to tell all of you I'm sorry...I should've came back and told you all something, anything about why I couldn't post any more at that time, but I didn't.  And I apologize if I was negligent.  But things in my life turned upside down and I just couldn't write, then I lost my Internet which put a halt to everything.
So with a brighter outlook on things and my need to write returning,  **Caseymania** will be coming back sometime in the near future!  I have missed you all so much!  And I'm still only able to write right now, I can't post videos or anything.  So be looking for @caseymaniablog on twitter and FB for new information about the comeback!

CMA fest is coming up in June & new show for Casey James

It's that time of year again, almost CMA fest time!  All the fun starts on June 6th and goes thru the 9th in Downtown Nashville!   I thought I saw where Casey and Bucky were going to be playing but that was last year.....sorry if I confused anyone.....my bad!! 
There are some major major changes to the fan fair hall where the fans will get autographs! There is so much more and the place is so much bigger!  If you don't have a 4 day pass, you can get a  4 day Fan Fair Pass at the new AT&T U verse for only $25.  Or a 1 day pass for $10.  Here is the link to check all of this out!  Click HERE.

Here is a picture of the new place!!  Beautiful huh??  I can't wait to see the inside!!!  It seems like it's going to be a lot easier to see the artist of your choice, because only 10% of them are ticketed.  So most of them you just get in the line for whoever you want to see.  Or thats how I understood it, anyway.  You can read all about it at the link above.

Casey has a new show coming up later this year, on October 7th in Lancaster, Ohio, at the Fairfield County Fair.  So if you live in the area, or feel like a roadtrip, then let Casey and the band entertain you!  He's there with the Henningsens as well, the new family group with some mad harmony skills!  Sounds like a great show, so yall don't miss it!!!

I wanted to apologize for not mentioning that Blaine Crews also was married the same weekend as
B.C. and Pattie.  He married his long time love Hannah Ray Linn, a TV news anchor woman from Harlingen, Texas.  The couple were married April 14th in Harlingen with family and friends.  After the wedding festivities they couple hopped aboard a Cruise ship for a tropical honeymoon cruise!  I wish them forever wedded bliss and may God bless their lives as they begin their journey as husband & wife.  :)

And since this is a blog about Casey James, it would be nice to have a picture of him!  Can somebody tell me who this belongs to??  I found it on twitter, but forgot to track down the owner.  And he looks a bit tired, as if he's telling the picture taker...."Enough".... does anyone else see that??

And I'm just posting this one (owned by Stills by BJ) because I love it!!

I also wanted to say, that I pray for peace and comfort for the family, friends and fans of George (Possum) Jones, as he passed away early yesterday morning.  Country music has lost a true legend.  May he rest in peace, forever more.

I'm back! Lots going on with Casey James, & family.

Hey yall....I'm sorry I haven't been on here in a while.  It just seemed like everything was snowballing down on me and I couldn't catch a break.  Well, I'm climbing out of the rubble and am doing better.  I am not going to have a lot of time in the future, like I've had in the past, because I'm starting an old business back up again and I'm gonna be busy.  That's mostly what I've been doing these last few weeks after coming back from the ACM Fan Jam  in Vegas.  It was a real good time, as always, but Casey wasn't there.... :-(  Oh well....it is.....what it is.  We had a great time, but I got only a few pics on Cyndee's camera, and now I can't find the memory card....so....no pics from me.  My camera on my phone went out just days before the show....that's par for the course....just my dumb luck, I guess.
Anyway, my hubby and I are bringing our Ice Cream Truck (yea, the kind with music) 'Big Daddy' back to life and we are gonna start the business back up after 10 years!  He's just about at retirement age, so he's gonna retire and we are gonna do the ice cream business together, for a while, then I'll probably kick him out, cuz as much as I love that man....he can get on my last nerve!  Haha!!  So we don't wanna spend too much time together!  :)
I'll let yall know how it goes, we are pretty excited, and it's a lot of fun and good $$$ to be made when ya know what your doing and I got quite bit of experience.  It's just one more place I can spread the Casey love!!  :)

Ok, I'm gonna start by saying....Casey James WOW'ED EVERYONE on American Idol and at home watching!!  He did so very good debuting 'The Good Life'!   Everyone loved it, and they all loved him!  He brought each one of the contestants on the show a special gift from their home town!  They were all very thankful to him for that!  And he did it cuz he knows how homesick he was, on the show.  He's such a sweetheart....

Last but not least, Billy Cole, better known as B.C. James and the lovely Pattie Walters became husband and wife in a church ceremony Saturday the 13th of April!  I have a picture that surfaced on twitter or facebook, and I don't know who it belongs to, so thank you to whoever owns it!!  This is one beautiful couple!!    Pattie has 3 daughters who will be joining them on their journey together.  I wish them all the best life has to offer!!!!  :)  May God bless them always!!

Oh, and I almost forgot!!  Casey and Debra James performed the wedding song, which was.... "So Sweet"!  It sounded so awesome!!  There was a video floating around facebook, but I don't know where it is now.  :(

I've just updated the upcoming concerts tonight, so everything is up to date as far as I know.

Casey James returns to the American Idol Stage!

Yes, you read that right!!!  Casey James has finally been invited back the AI to perform!!  And.... he's debuting his new single on the show!!  It will be aired on next Thursday's results show on 4/4/13 on Fox.  Check your local listings for the time.  We have waited for this, what seems like forever and a day!!  And finally it is here, after 3 long years!!  Casey is so excited as well!!  He tweeted this comment late last night...(actually early this a.m. :))

That is so sweet!!  A little work??   Ummm, I beg to differ.... I believe that would be a lot of hard work too, even though you don't count playing music 'working'!!  :D
We know of  a lot of sleepless nights he's had over the last 3 years to get to where he is now.  And he deserves this recognition so much, and he's ready....I do believe he is.  My prediction is the judges are gonna go ga-ga over him!!  Especially Randy Jackson....who was not always in Casey's corner, but was more than the others.  I'm really looking forward to Randy's reaction to Casey now....3 years later.  It's gonna be epic!!!!

I'm gonna be in Vegas when Casey appears on AI, and me, Cyndee & Kate (daughter) will be watching him!!  I cannot wait!!  We were gonna do something else that night, but none of us are willing to miss Casey on AI !!!  No way!!  We've all waited too long for this!!  So I hope everyone gets to see him on that A I stage, it's gonna be an amazing moment for him and the band members as well!  They are all excited!!

Since all the Cali shows were a sellout, how about we do something different here!?  You've heard me say time and time again how awesome and talented Casey and the guys are.... well, here are a few tweets from some of the fans of those sold out shows!!  And notice how many are GUYS!!  We have all hoped that Casey would be able to gain 'guy fans' as his career progressed, and I think it's happening now!!  From the cool guy at Temple who held up the sign asking Casey to sing "So Sweet", to these latest shows, Casey is picking up more and more guy fans at every stop!  It was said that Casey, during one of the VIP's said to the guys, after taking a head count, that it was the biggest showing of guys yet, and that he knew why they were there, their girlfriends made them come!  After they all laughed, he then shook hands with all of them, and said "I get why your here!"  Their girlfriends might have drug them there, but they were leaving as Casey James fans!

Well, looks like March is coming in like a lion (in Texas anyway....) and I'm hoping it goes out like a lamb....cuz you know what??  I'M SO TIRED OF THIS WIND!!  I know we have to have the wind to spread the seeds that will eventually become May flowers and what not.....but I'm already sick of it!  :)  Can't have a good hair day....that is completely out of the question.  So my hair always looks horrible in March....just so yall know!  :/ lol.... Ok....I feel  better. :)   But I have nothing to complain about when a lot of the country still looks like this.....

Although that looks pretty good....but having to drive in it and shovel it every day....that has to get old.   But snow is still beautiful and I envy those who get it every year.  And I feel bad for them at the same time, when it gets real bad.  Hopefully they've seen the last of the snow storms (who are being named now) and can get on board with me, getting their hair blown to smitherines!!  Haha!

I have a few articles and write ups I want to share before getting to the pics & videos.  I am pretty sure I forgot to post these.... sorry... :-/  They are very interesting and good writing!  And I always love reading what other people think of Casey!!  :)

OMG!!!!  I am so excited, I can't hardly breathe!!!!!!  Casey is going on tour with Taylor Swift!!  What a wonderful opportunity to catapult his career!!!!!  Big THANKS to Taylor Swift!!!!  My first 2 guesses as to the big news was, announcement of new single and going on tour with a big name!!  This is better than I could've ever dreamed for him!!!

Ok....from what I'm gathering....there are only 4 shows on that tour that is NOT sold out....I know....but not all is lost though, because if you hurry, you can still score tickets for the 9-6 Fargo ND show, the 9-12 Greensboro NC show, and 2 of the Nashville shows at the Bridgestone Arena on 9-19 and 9-20.
Looks like I'll be going to Nashville later this year!!

Ok, thats not all the BIG NEWS yet.....there's more..... yesterday evening, the news broke from CRS, which is going on in Nashville this week, that Casey's next single is......wait for it......

"THE GOOD LIFE"!!!!!!!!"  That was a very good choice for the next single, although I fully expected them to release "Drive".  Seemed things were pointing that direction anyway.  But I am totally excited that it's this one!!  This song is just a happy, feel good song, about anybody who is ecstatic to just be alive, and enjoying their life to the fullest!!  There needs to be more songs like this!!  I think it is going to go far....hopefully all the way to #1, with the help of the newest tour announcement!
Looks like things are 'no doubt' putting Casey 'right where he belongs'!!  And I'm betting that 'none of it feels wrong'!!!  Haha!!  Just a little lyric humor there....  :)  So big Congrats going out to Casey for this huge accomplishment!!!  I know his momma, Debra and brother, BC are about over the moon with excitement!!  And I bet Paw Paw is looking down from heaven with a huge smile across his face for his grandson!  :)

So yall get geared up and find a concert near you soon, cuz it's fixing to all break lose for him and things are gonna start moving fast!!!  Congrats once again to Casey James and his family for all their great news!!  God is surely blessing this family!!  And it is so deserved!  :)

New Update Below....

How's everybody doing?!  I took a bit of time off, to regroup, and I have the recap from
Saturday's show in Temple, Tx.!  It was a great show, and many old fans and new fans were there cheering Casey on!!  There is a new addition to the Casey James band, and his name is Justin Barbee.  He's playing Keyboards for Casey now, since Justin Pate left recently.  I didn't get to talk with him, but I'm sure I will in the future!
The evening started off with a fan dinner, except the place we were gonna meet everyone was packed and we were running just a few minutes late.  So a few of us ended up going to Taco Cabana to eat, because we didn't have a lot of time until it was time for the VIP.  And we couldn't miss that!  So we ran on over there and got there in plenty of time.  So after we're all paid with armbands on, we were led over to where the VIP was gonna take place.  We all sat down and Casey came out pretty quickly.  He started talking right away about the new Amp Box he had gotten with his name on it, it was very nice.  And then he began talking about the case, the Acoustic guitar he plays all the time, the McPherson, is cradled in when not in use, or on a stand.  He said it was horrible, and so heavy!!  So in conversations with the McPherson people, Casey said he wanted a new case, and to one day get a couple other guitars he likes of theirs.....they are all being shipped to him as we speak..... if he hasn't already gotten them.  Wow....those McPherson people are really good to Casey!!  I like that!!
Then....Casey told us there was BIG NEWS breaking on the 27th of this month....that would be Wednesday, this week!!!  A few of us tried to talk him into just a little hint as to what it was, and others were trying to 'guess' what it was....and he held the guitar up and said...."No....stop guessing, I don't have a good poker face"!!!  Haha!!!  So we all stopped, and he said its only 4 days!!  So now....what do yall think the BIG news is???  If I had to guess, and I do.....I'd say they are gearing up to release "Drive" as the 3rd single from his self titled debut album!!  What do yall think??  Its perfect timing, because if it's released in early March, it should be screaming down the charts by mid-summer.....and it IS a summer song!!!  So....thats my guess.....what do yall think??
I asked him if he was gonna be at the ACM's this year....and he said he didn't know......then quickly said...."I hate doing those Awards shows!!"  Then he laughed.....but I think he's just  uncomfortable doing the red carpet thing.  I could be wrong, but thats the vibe I get from him.

After we were finished there, we all just visited until time for the opening band.  And they were very good....but their name slips my mind.    :-/   So what's new?!  Right?!?!
I'm writing and listening to BB King's Bluesville on Serius.  I've learned that is a comfortable surround sound when I'm writing.....All I need is a glass of wine.....wait.....I'm out....oh well....not tonight.  Just heard "Too many Drivers at the Wheel" by Tab Benoit.  I love that song!!

Ok, fast forward and Casey is introduced and he grabs one of his guitars and asked the question in the mic..... "How yall doin'?"  And the people let him know quick how they were doing!!  It was a live wire crowd....they were loud and happy to be there!!!




BREAKING NEWS.....THIS JUST IN......AS PER AIRCHECK WEEKLY.....we CAN expect a NEW SINGLE from Casey James on April 1st!!!!  I'm pretty sure that was the BIG NEWS, but we still don't know which song it will be.....fingers crossed for "DRIVE!!!!"





Now, back to the show that's starting in front of me!!   He started out as usual with one of my favorite songs.... "The Good Life".....then things just get blurry and run together. Never can remember the order in which they were sang.   I know he sang "Lets Don't Call It A Night" and "Crying on a Suitcase", "So High", "Drive", "Breaking thru the Blue", Run Away, A Woman's Touch, and one by special request, which we know by now, Casey rarely does requests.   Let me tell you a sweet little story.....


The man, whose name was Paul Luman, was behind me about 2 rows, and soon enough I noticed he was holding up a sign sometimes.  I never could read the sign for a little bit, but then he held it high and I turned around and read it.... "Please play 'So Sweet' for an old Marine", it read....  Well, I thought, 'poor guy, Casey won't do it'.... But to my astonishment, he stopped and read the sign.....then said....give me that....so the guy gave it to him, and Casey held it high, and said...."heres whats going on....I was reading this."  He turned the sign around for the crowd to see, then said...."How could I say No to that?"  He then laid it nonchalantly to the side and told him he would do it....and it was gonna be fun....with a little chuckle.  And I thought the guy was gonna lose it right there, he was so very excited!!  So when Casey started singing "So Sweet" the guy was behind me singing every word, and I thought, 'he needs to be where I am'.....so I reached back and grabbed his arm and gently pulled him up in my place and he was beside himself with joy!!  I wanted this old Marine to enjoy every bit of the song he loves so much!  And he certainly did that!  I was so proud for him, I found him after the show, got his name and a picture, and told him what I do then handed him a card.  Asking for permission to post his story and picture, and he obliged me and said Yes!  I just love stuff like this.....it brought tears to my eyes, and his too!!  Casey is really a good guy to waver from his list and do this for this guy....but he wanted to do it for him, I could tell.  Thank you Casey for making this guy's night!!  And thank you Paul....it was a pleasure to meet you and I thank you for your service!  Hope to see you again at a future show!!

Random news....

Too much info to share to put it all in the title this time....so I'm just calling this post, 'Random news'.  I haven't been around as much as I would like, but I'm gonna try to start something different that will work for me, so I can get out all the most important news for yall. 
We are gonna start with the voting that all the fans do from different sites for Casey!  He has some of the most dedicated and loyal fans in the industry.  Fans that have stood by his side since the beginning on American Idol.....and new fans who are just discovering his amazing talents....and all those in between!!   He loves every one of us!  And appreciates everything we do to keep his name out there in the social media and beyond!  It's not always easy, I'm the first one to admit that....but once you are mesmerized by the Casey James magic....you want to do anything you can to help him.

Here's a photo from the CMT Hot 20 show!  Very nice color and Casey looks awesome as always!  :)   I've forgotten the girls name, but the guy is CMT Cody who is a syndicated Radio host in Nashville.  But I remember Cody many years ago when he was a DJ at one of the Dallas stations....either KSCS or KPLX.  ;)

The 48th annual ACM Awards Nominations will be announced today!!  I got my fingers crossed for a nomination for Casey!!  This is the BIG show that I always anticipate coming, because I love it and I always go to the Fan Jam, which is broadcast simultaneously from a different location than the Awards show, but the two are tied together and both get airtime!!  Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are hosting the Awards show while Brad Paisley will host the Fan Jam!!  It's just a huge amount of fun and it would be great to see more Casey fans out there.  He was there in 2011, but not last year....so....I'm so hoping he is going to be there playing at one or the other of all the events taking place!!  I'm all booked and ready to go, whether Casey is there, or not.... :(  But I'm hoping he will be there this year!!!  For more information about the ACM's and the Fan Jam, click HERE!

Casey was a guest on the Bob Kingsley's CT 40 a couple weeks ago and I think there was suppose to be a longer interview, but all I can find right now is this small clip just before Casey started playing "Polk Salad Annie".  And this photo of him and Bob.  Click the link above to hear it!

Mmm Mmm Mmm....it just don't get any better than that right there!!!!   Lawd' have mercy....woo hoo.....gotta love them Blues!!!  And Casey plays the blues better than anyone I've ever heard...anyone....ever!!  I always have a case of the *chicken skin* or *goose bumps* if ya will....cuz the blues just gets down into the soul....love love love it!!!!!!  Ok, fan girl session over....back to being a regualar gal.  ;)

And wouldn't you just know, Cyndee has thought of exactly what I should have thought of....writing down the words to one of the new songs and taking it with you to a show, getting not only him to read over it and correct the wrong words the fans came up with, but also one of the writers of the song, Jayce Hein!!   But the fans did very well, as there were very few mistakes on this song.... "A Womans Touch".   Thanks Cyndee for thinking of this, maybe a few of us will use that in the future!!  :)  Oh, and both of them signed it!!  :)

And last but certainly not least....just found out that Justin Pate (far right) is leaving Casey's band!  :(  He is going on tour with Ben Folds for 3 months.  But he said he would be back doing gigs with Casey as he could.  So it sounds like he'll be back....for good some day...?   I sure hope so, he is an excellent Keyboardist!!  He is also an awesome backup singer!!  And just a good guy!  I've talked with him a couple times and he's always so sweet!  Good luck to him and hoping that he makes his way back to Casey very soon!!  We love you Justin!!!  Safe travels!!
