Casey James plays Winston-Salem, N.C. for last show of the week.

Casey and Blaine hit the stage at Johnny and June's Ultra Saloon in Winston-Salem N.C. a little bit after 10:30 to a very pleased crowd!  But something wasn't right on this, the 7th night of a set of shows that spanned nearly from one side of the U.S. to the other.  It didn't take the crowd long to figure out that Casey was sick.  And not just a little sick....pretty bad sick, with food poisoning.  We have seen him struggle with illness many times over the last couple of years, and know how determined he is, to not let anyone down!   His drive and determination to give a crowd what they came for and paid for is so very strong, he'll perform, no matter what he feels like!  Most of us are like mother hens, who just want to protect him from anything the world might throw at him.  So we get worried when we hear he is not well.
He made it through 5 songs, before stepping off stage briefly to gather himself enough to finish.  He came back and did his last song, before exiting the stage, and leaving.  Here is the setlist in the order he sang the songs.

I found out earlier this afternoon, that Casey is much better today.  Blaine tweeted also that he was better, so we can all rest a little now, knowing he's getting some rest and recovering nicely.   His next show is not until next Tuesday, in Nashville, so hopefully thats enough time for him to get his strength back and go do what he loves to do so much!  Play music!!  :)
Out of respect for Casey, I don't want to post any pictures of him in N.C. because he was so sick.  I know if I were sick, I would not want pictures posted of me....so I hope yall understand.

A couple days ago, out of the blue, Sony posted an Acoustic video of "Drive" on VEVO, on Casey's channel!  It's a video that really captures the Caseyness......who he is as a person, not only the artist.  It's just a very nice video that you wanna watch again and again....so join me in watching it!!  Now, I don't know if this means that "Drive" will be the next single, I wouldn't think so..... but I've never seen a video released without a single.  Maybe they're doing it backwards these days!  :)  I don't know, I'm just a blogger!  Haha!

Ok, my sweethearts, I'm out of here for now.....probably gonna take a couple days to just relax and not get online, except with my phone, and thats limited, so.....I'll be back when there's more news about Casey.  Just remember to keep him in your prayers every day.....

Until next time.....

  4. Ive seen pictures from that night! He still looks incredibly handsome. Probably no one but the most experienced eye ;-) could even tell. Still nice of you but I don't think he'd mind.

  5. I have seen a few of the pictures, and although he is still handsome, I can tell...he was really sick. So not only am I not posting pictures, I refuse to post the videos captured that night. I have not watched one and I won't. I am just trying to put myself in his place for a while....and how I would feel if someone posted pictures and videos of me sick as hell!! I just feel like there has to be a place to draw the line, that's all. I just respect him so much, that I don't want to do anything that could be hurtful to him in any way. Thanks for the feedback....
