Casey James debuted his new single today with impressive adds! Buy the single now...

Here it is!!!!   Casey's (and ours too) new single headed for Country radio today!!!  I am just so proud for him, and I hope he's able to take the time to take all this in today.....and know that THIS day is what he worked so hard for all those years doing gigs in Texas!  It all came down to this.....

This has certainly been an exciting few hours since I was here last!!  Casey's new single is available on itunes and Amazon.com.   You can also purchase it at the Sony Website as well.  At the time of this post, I was still not able to buy on amazon.com, but I did buy it on ITunes!!!  Its on my phone NOW, and sounds so wonderful to know I bought it and it's all mine!! :)  If you can afford to do so, try to buy it at all places, so he can get more sales numbers!  And more money too....  Speaking of numbers, just found out that "Let's Don't Call it A Night" had a very impressive start, with 11 radio stations adding his single to their playlist!!  That is really good for a first timer!!!  And....he's #2 for the most adds today, right behind The Band Perry!!!  Read about it here at   Lovin' Lyrics Music Promotions    Congrats Casey....this song is gonna WOW the whole country!!!  I just put my headphones on and I'm listening to it for the first time as my own single that I just bought!!!  Oh good lord, I'm freaking out a little ......Mmmmmmm...... "everything is feelin' so right...."   no.....no....no..no..no....love that part....it's just one of my favorites....hehehe!  Another fav part is "I'll get up and close the door".....wooo hooo!!  Ok, I gotta get serious now....

There are a few reviews, and this is my favorite part of a debut single....seeing what everybody is saying about it!!  Tasteofcountry.com was quite complimentary in some parts, but gave him a back handed compliment on other parts.  It's just criticism, and he'll grow from that.  They started off their review like this.....

Casey James only dabbled in country music while on then ninth season of ‘American Idol’ in 2010. He played a Keith Urban song, and a Shania Twain song during Shania Twain week, but was clearly more influenced by rock and blues. His time on the show was bookended by John Mayer songs, appropriate because of all the artists he covered on the show, it’s Mayer that his debut song ‘Let’s Don’t Call It a Night’ most closely mimics.

Today's Country Music videos seemed happy about the new single!  Announcing it on their site as well!  I really appreciate all these sites taking Casey under their wing and helping to promote him for free!

Another site, I just found recently, Country Your Way had a very cool review of the new single, having this to say.....
Night is a groovy summer song that barley shows any of his talent, but will undoubtedly hook people very quickly. Click the link above to read more.

There are actually 2 more added for a total of 13 now.  And USA today was quoted as saying Casey's single made the Idol Airplay chart and came in at #75.... Yay!!!
Both of my local stations have told me they had it, but I don't know if they've actually ADDED it!  I sure hope so!  So far it's not showing on that list above, so I'll wait and call again tomorrow and see if they'll play it.  But I won't ask if they have added it, because I don't want them to know I'm that savvy about the business....lol  I just call in and appear as the casual fan who saw Casey at a show and would like to hear his new song he said was coming out.

Ok yall....don't forget now.....tomorrow is Casey's debut on GAC (Great American Country) at 10:00am ET on a segment called...."On The Streets" where Casey will talk about the release of his new single and probably some other things.....I just want to see him on TV!!!  I'm pretty sure that there will be a video available soon after it airs, so I'll post it here as soon as I can get it, so those of you who can't see it, will see it here!! :)

Here is the schedule of times that Casey's segment will air.  If you miss it at first, there's another chance.

19 recordings/BNA records posted this press release today:
NASHVILLE, TN – 19 Recordings/BNA Records’ Casey James will release his debut single “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” tomorrow, August 16 at all digital providers. The Cool, TX native wrote the soulful song with Brice Long (Co-writer of Gary Allan’s Number One hit “Nothing On But the Radio”) and Terry McBride (Co-writer of Brooks & Dunn hits such as “Play Something Country” and “Cowgirls Don’t Cry”).
“When we were writing ‘Let’s Don’t Call It A Night,’ it really began with this sound we had on the guitar, and one of us said, ‘That just feels sexy,’ and it was funny how quickly the song came together around that sound and the whole idea of a great night that you don’t want to end,” James recalls.
James, who finished third on American Idol’s 9th season last year, is currently working on his debut album.
Thanks to Karen S. for this very nice shot of Casey.

Ok, I'm gone for now....yall don't forget to watch  Casey on GAC tomorrow and call your local radio and request his song!!

Until next time.....

  4. Thank you so much you sweethearts!!! Yall just make my heart smile! :) I really appreciate comments because that tells me if I'm doing what I should be doing and bringing you the right combination of all the things I do! Feedback is always good! thanks again ladies!! And Darla, don't give up honey, I learned a few things tonight from a DJ in Ft. Worth. Things I didn't even know! Some stations don't even play new artists until their single breaks into the Top 10!!! And one of my stations is like that! But requesting is important because it tells the stations what it's listeners want to hear! She also told me it's more important to call the day shift DJ's, for some reason....I don't know. But she knows what she's talking about, she's done this about 7 or 8 years! So I'm believing what she is saying. Also, if you call a station out of your listening area, block your # because they pay close attention if it's the listening audience calling them or not. Anyway, don't give up, keep requesting on different shifts so you don't aggrivate them! I know Shari says about 3 times a week, but every day, different shifts is better.
