It's nearing Christmas.....is everybody ready?

Hello everybody!  Well, I'm  back, but I'm still not up to par just yet.  I actually feel a little better, but I'm still stopped up....not all the time, just several times a day....and at night!  Just wanted to touch base and see if everything is going good with everybody.  I am starting to get so many Christmas cards, and it's awesome!!  I had a problem with my order so it's gonna be a little late getting out.  As soon as I have them in my hand I will be getting them ready to mail out!  The cards I'm getting from everybody are so nice and unique!!  I'm loving every bit of this!!

Well, there was only one picture that surfaced that I could find during Casey's visit home for Thanksgiving.  This one was taken the last night he was in town down at the Key's Lounge, where he had sang a few songs and talked with a bunch of folks and signed autographs.  I just wish I could have made it down there.  He was there till about 3am and when he was leaving he was headed to the airport to catch his flight back to Nashville.  But this one picture did make it to me, and it was Casey playing pool!  So I guess he was relaxing and having a nice visit with old friends and new at his old gigging place.  I'm glad he was able to do that.  Life is getting hectic, I'm sure, for him.  Ok, here's the picture......

As most of you know by now, it has been confirmed that Billy James is headed to Nashville to be with his brother and play Bass in the Casey James Band!!  I'm so thrilled about this news!  But, as of right now there has been no news on whether Jacy has gotten a spot in the CJB or not!  We are all still hoping and praying he gets to go as well!!  I got the pleasure of meeting Jacy once and he is just the nicest guy ever!  Very personable and chatty!  I like that in a person.... :)  Keeping my fingers crossed for him!!

Well, is it nearly Christmas already?  And has it nearly been a year since we all laid eyes on Casey James as American Idol televised his audition in Denver?  Yes and Yes!!  This has been the fastest passing year I think I ever remember!!  Oh well, you know what they say......time flies when your having fun.....and that comment has never been more true than the passing of 2010!  It really has been one of the most fun years I've ever had, except for the fact that I lost my mom.  Like I told all of you then.....it was really a blessing.....because the amount of pain and suffering she was enduring.  I was relieved when she didn't have to hurt anymore, and I am at peace with her passing.  Miss her every day, and I'm sure I always will, but life has to move forward after a loss of this caliber.....no standing still, that's when you fall down.....no time for it.  I've been having a little bit of the Blues lately, but I have very faithful friends who always know exactly what to say to get me back peddling again.  Now I'm getting back in the Christmas Spirit and moving forward!  Thank you my little angels.....you know who you are!!

I hope everyone will send out a Christmas Card to the James Family and wish them a Happy Holiday Season!  I certainly am!  And one more thing to address, while I'm at it.....Someone put a suggestion on my Wall on Facebook, and I think it is a fantastic Idea.  Read about it:

When filling out your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it
to this address:

A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army
Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20307-5001.

If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful people who have sacrificed so much would get!  Please try to do this, and make an  injured or sick soldier smile!  :)  It's a small price to pay for the security they give us every day!

If any of you can spare an extra card or two this year, please do this, for them and for yourself.....I guarantee it'll make you smile!  :)

While I was looking around on the Key's Lounge site earlier, I came across some Casey Pictures I had not seen!!  (Imagine that!)  They were taken during the Homecoming Visit!!  So, I'll post 'em here for yall to see!!  Enjoy!!

Woo Hoooo!!!  That last one just blows my socks off!!!  He was really giving it his all that day, I remember it so well, and I am so fortunate to have been there to see this in person!!!  It was a great day in 'Cowtown'!!
I want to thank the Key's Lounge Page on Facebook for posting these awesome shots of Casey during his visit there on May 14th!  Also, thanks going out to K.Roundtree, S. Poynter, and L.Moody

Before I go, I want to Thank everybody who took part in the 1st Casey Fans Christmas Card Exchange!!  We had a total of 41....I think....lol.....there were a few changes here and there, but I think the grand total was close to that!  Yall are all awesome, thanks for letting me speak from my heart!  All of you have a special place in my heart!  Always!

I'll be back when I can find some more breaking news!!

Until next time.....

  2. Me too! Even at our worst moments ya have to remember that God has a plan for each and everyone of us. We all serve a purpose in this world.... even if it's just to bring a smile to someone's face or give encouragement and hope to someone who's lost their way. Christmas time and Casey are great reminders of that! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, keep smiling and know that you are very loved and appreciated! <3

  5. Glenda,
I'm glad you're feeling better! YAY!!! Thanks for the great write-up...you never let Casey fans down!! I also love all the pictures! The Recovering American Soldier Xmas Card idea is an excellent way to show your support of our soldiers! I did it last year with my students at school and this year, too. It REALLY DOES make you feel better just to send a card to these wonderful people who have done so much for us! I wish you and your family, as well as all Casey fans a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!!

  8. Thank yall...I sure appreciate all your kindness! I'm feeling much better! Still get the stuffy nose and a sneeze or two a day, but so much better than last week! I will be so glad when news starts coming in and he starts making television appearances to push his single and album! It's going to be an exciting time for him and for us!! I will have stuff to write about all the time! Someone told me that artists are now hiring bloggers to blog their shows on the road, I wonder if Casey will? If he does, I'll be first in line for that job! Ha! That would definitely be the dream job for sure!
I want to wish each and every one of my readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, yall are the greatest and most supportive people ever!! Much love and Big Hugs!!
