New shows added, requesting tips, and sites talking about Casey James' new single

Hey... have you gotten your copy of Casey's new single??  You know, you can gift somebody with a copy?  Thats what I'm doing!  I've bought a few copies as gifts already and I will buy more through the year.  It helps Casey's numbers go up and of course he makes more $$$!  You can get your copy at iTunes and Amazon

Here's what some people are saying about Casey's new single.....

Steve Warren is a guy who reviews music for Country Radio Program Directors, and he has a whole bunch 'o good words about Casey's new single......

Let’s Don’t Call It A Night-Casey James (BNA)

When I reviewed this one in the last edition, I was musing about how this is the way Country songs should be arranged when they get a bit rocky. I’ve heard it a bunch more in the last two weeks and, silly me, it’s actually more of a R&B record. I could hear any of a number of the Blues masters from the 60′s cuttin’ down with this one. And/or several of the R&B influenced Southern Rockers of the 70′s. Elvin Bishop, maybe. And certainly Delbert will add this to his set before much longer, I ‘spect. It is seductive and so very sexy.

Ok....I love the way this guy thinks!

Nashville's New Country said "We love it, and think it has a Kid Rock feel to it!"    Ok, I don't feel the same thing they do....but it's a good comment!!   I think he has an 'everybody' feel to his music....lol

There is a couple new shows added to Casey's schedule, and it looks like one of them is radio station 92.3 KRST in Albuquerque, New Mexico!  They are throwing an annual private party, August 24th and Casey has been invited to be their guest!  Here's what they had to say on their website a couple days ago:

It’s Another Girls Night Out… starring CASEY JAMES!
You remember Casey from season 9 of American Idol and you’ve heard his new song “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” on KRST. Now you get to MEET him! Wednesday night August 24th at Thunder Road inside Route 66 Casino Hotel.
As always it’s a private party and the ONLY way in is to WIN! Listen all day for your chance to get on Albuquerque’s Most Exclusive Guest List!

And  HERE is a recording of the commercial on their website!  I love it!!  And you will too!!
Thanks to Shari G. for finding this little commercial clip!!

The other show added to his schedule is in Omaha, Nebraska on August 25th, and looks to be another private, winners only, concert!  It's all taking place at the KAT 103 KXKT Shadow Lake Listeners Lounge.  Click HERE for more information about how to sign up to win this intimate show of Casey and meet him!

I want to take a minute to thank 2 of the internet radio stations who have given Casey some tremendous support and are playing his music on their stations....a....lot!!!  Thanks to NIXA radio and WIZARD Radio  for their support, and promotion of Casey's music!!  We fans really appreciate them!!  Feel free to listen in online and make your request for Casey's new song!!

Here is another radio doing the music play off between 2 songs!  Froggy 100.9.com  from Barre,Vermont!!  Click HERE to put your vote in!

Now, before I get out of here, I wanted to share with yall some very interesting news I got last night from a radio insider.  This person knows exactly what they are talking about.  I was told the listening audience, (local) is who they pay attention to, as far as requesting goes.  They pay close attention to the telephone numbers to make sure that person is in their listening range.  I was also told, if the person you're requesting is a new artist and this is their breakout single, there are radio stations that won't play it until it's in the top 10.  One of my local stations is that way.  But don't let it discourage you, they still need to hear people requesting Casey.
Something that really surprised me, was that I was told to call the radio stations during the 3 dayshifts, Morning, Mid day, and Afternoon.  For some reason, maybe because the program director is there and can actually see the requests for Casey's song, it is the best to call during those shifts.  So, rally your family, friends and whoever you can to call your local radio station and request LDCIAN. Do it on different phones if you have them.  I'm gonna use my cell phone, my hubbys cell, and our house phone.  Then my sister in law has already said she'd call as well. Those local listeners at each station, is what counts!  Also I was told to call every day, and keep trying back until you actually get through and talk to a DJ.  Once you've gotten through your done.  Only 1 request a day from each person that can do it!  And you may not hear your request, about 1/2 the time you won't, right now, anyway.  So don't call them back up and fuss at them, or get angry and say...."You haven't played my request, and I been waiting for 2 hours for it!!"  or anything similar....don't.....that will hurt your chances of ever getting it played!  It is the program director's decision as to weather or not it gets played at all or even added to the playlist.
And it's not only us, the fans, that help get it on the radio....it's the BNA reps. job to contact the program directors and put pressure on them to add their artist's song to their playlist.  That is something I had no idea about.  But it makes sense.
The only time that the fans really should ALL call the same radio station to request, is when it's a syndicated station.  I have most of them listed on the left sidebar, and you can call them every night as well.  They too, do the 2 songs against each other and accept calls from all over the U.S.  And when one of them have Casey on their show as a guest, we'll all need to either listen locally or online and call in requesting and talking about the song, or sometimes they'll even let you ask the artist a question!  I know, I just talked about this, but I can't stress enough how important it is for Casey's new single and it's success!  We are the driving force behind that single!!  I always said, when his single comes out, thats when our work really begins!  He needs us now, more than ever to get his song out to the public, so lets all do our part to help him.
And when you purchase his song from iTunes or Amazon, make sure you always leave a comment!!
Thanks yall!!

Ok, everybody, I gotta get out here for tonight, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them here or you can send me a message on Facebook

Take care.....

Until next time......

Amazon.com Best Sellers in Country: #67

That is some very impressive numbers for first day sales!!  He should be so proud!!  As I'm sure he is!!
I can't stress enough how important it is to continue with requesting at your local radio stations!  It's aggravating, I know, sometimes to call and call and not get an answer, or hear nonstop busy signals.  Just make sure your listening in when you call, because you don't want to call in for a request when they are having a contest for callers to call in and win something.  Make sure of that.  Try to get at least 1 answer and a request in on the day shift once a day, if at all possible.  I know I've said in the past you have better luck with the night shift, and you will, but I had a DJ tell me tonight to call in on the Day Shift, for some reason it means more.  But you can and should still call in on the night shift.  I will call each station once during the day shifts and once during the night shifts.  I haven't always gotten through,  after calling and calling.  Sometimes you just have to stop and try again later.  And sometimes you may not get through at all.  It happens.  Just please don't get frustrated and give up calling at all, Casey needs us as much now, as he did when he was on 'that show' and counted on us to vote and get him through to the next round.  That's in a way, whats happening now, we have to get him to the next round.

As promised, I have the GAC video of Casey's appearance on the show, "On The Streets" with host, Suzanne Alexander.  He was cute as can be!  He handles himself so well with these interviews, knowing the cameras are on him!  Well, I guess he had a lot of practice dealing with cameras on 'that show'! :)

Can he get any more precious??  I liked....."they were my fans coming to see me, but then also had a big gigantic crowd of people who have no clue who I am.....and now they do!"   I just love him to pieces!!!   And because of that exposure to that 'big gigantic crowd of people' he now has more fans to support him!! :)

Here is a nice screencap from Cyndee and Debbie....thanks ladies!

Great News!!!!!  Casey tweeted today!!!!  Here's what he had to say to us!!  :)

Casey Everett James
Your patience has paid off. ;) Hope y'all like the first single! Here you go...

And with that....he sent us the iTunes link!!   And like???  Is he kidding??   We LOVE that song!!!  When you purchase Casey's song, make sure that you post a comment about it.  Try not to argue with the trolls....they are not worth our time.  Their main purpose in life is to see how angry they can make the fans who are commenting with support, so they will say just about anything.....ignore them, they want attention, and we need to stay focused on the positive.

Ok, my little sweeties.....I'm out of here tonight......yall take care....

Until next time.....

PS: There have been numerous sites talking about Casey's new single, but unfortunately I will have to post that tomorrow!!  I'm a bit tired and need to get to bed.  See ya....

Casey James debuted his new single today with impressive adds! Buy the single now...

Here it is!!!!   Casey's (and ours too) new single headed for Country radio today!!!  I am just so proud for him, and I hope he's able to take the time to take all this in today.....and know that THIS day is what he worked so hard for all those years doing gigs in Texas!  It all came down to this.....

This has certainly been an exciting few hours since I was here last!!  Casey's new single is available on itunes and Amazon.com.   You can also purchase it at the Sony Website as well.  At the time of this post, I was still not able to buy on amazon.com, but I did buy it on ITunes!!!  Its on my phone NOW, and sounds so wonderful to know I bought it and it's all mine!! :)  If you can afford to do so, try to buy it at all places, so he can get more sales numbers!  And more money too....  Speaking of numbers, just found out that "Let's Don't Call it A Night" had a very impressive start, with 11 radio stations adding his single to their playlist!!  That is really good for a first timer!!!  And....he's #2 for the most adds today, right behind The Band Perry!!!  Read about it here at   Lovin' Lyrics Music Promotions    Congrats Casey....this song is gonna WOW the whole country!!!  I just put my headphones on and I'm listening to it for the first time as my own single that I just bought!!!  Oh good lord, I'm freaking out a little ......Mmmmmmm...... "everything is feelin' so right...."   no.....no....no..no..no....love that part....it's just one of my favorites....hehehe!  Another fav part is "I'll get up and close the door".....wooo hooo!!  Ok, I gotta get serious now....

There are a few reviews, and this is my favorite part of a debut single....seeing what everybody is saying about it!!  Tasteofcountry.com was quite complimentary in some parts, but gave him a back handed compliment on other parts.  It's just criticism, and he'll grow from that.  They started off their review like this.....

Casey James only dabbled in country music while on then ninth season of ‘American Idol’ in 2010. He played a Keith Urban song, and a Shania Twain song during Shania Twain week, but was clearly more influenced by rock and blues. His time on the show was bookended by John Mayer songs, appropriate because of all the artists he covered on the show, it’s Mayer that his debut song ‘Let’s Don’t Call It a Night’ most closely mimics.
Click HERE to read the rest of the review.

Today's Country Music videos seemed happy about the new single!  Announcing it on their site as well!  I really appreciate all these sites taking Casey under their wing and helping to promote him for free!

Another site, I just found recently, Country Your Way had a very cool review of the new single, having this to say.....
Night is a groovy summer song that barley shows any of his talent, but will undoubtedly hook people very quickly. Click the link above to read more.

Here are the 11 radio stations who added Casey's new song today:

There are actually 2 more added for a total of 13 now.  And USA today was quoted as saying Casey's single made the Idol Airplay chart and came in at #75.... Yay!!!
Both of my local stations have told me they had it, but I don't know if they've actually ADDED it!  I sure hope so!  So far it's not showing on that list above, so I'll wait and call again tomorrow and see if they'll play it.  But I won't ask if they have added it, because I don't want them to know I'm that savvy about the business....lol  I just call in and appear as the casual fan who saw Casey at a show and would like to hear his new song he said was coming out.

Ok yall....don't forget now.....tomorrow is Casey's debut on GAC (Great American Country) at 10:00am ET on a segment called...."On The Streets" where Casey will talk about the release of his new single and probably some other things.....I just want to see him on TV!!!  I'm pretty sure that there will be a video available soon after it airs, so I'll post it here as soon as I can get it, so those of you who can't see it, will see it here!! :)

Here is the schedule of times that Casey's segment will air.  If you miss it at first, there's another chance.

19 recordings/BNA records posted this press release today:
NASHVILLE, TN – 19 Recordings/BNA Records’ Casey James will release his debut single “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” tomorrow, August 16 at all digital providers. The Cool, TX native wrote the soulful song with Brice Long (Co-writer of Gary Allan’s Number One hit “Nothing On But the Radio”) and Terry McBride (Co-writer of Brooks & Dunn hits such as “Play Something Country” and “Cowgirls Don’t Cry”).
“When we were writing ‘Let’s Don’t Call It A Night,’ it really began with this sound we had on the guitar, and one of us said, ‘That just feels sexy,’ and it was funny how quickly the song came together around that sound and the whole idea of a great night that you don’t want to end,” James recalls.
James, who finished third on American Idol’s 9th season last year, is currently working on his debut album.
Thanks to Karen S. for this very nice shot of Casey.

Ok, I'm gone for now....yall don't forget to watch  Casey on GAC tomorrow and call your local radio and request his song!!

Until next time.....

IT'S OFFICIAL-Casey James' debut single released today!! Plus a tragedy in Indiana...

Well, it's official.....Casey's very first single, "Let's Don't Call It A Night" will be released to radios all across America today!!  I am sure as can be, that he is on cloud 9 right now, along with all his family and his friends!!  I know ALL of us fans are absolutely giddy he now has a song on the radio for all to hear!!  Now....it has come to my attention that we won't be able to buy his single, on  Amazon.com  anyway,  till the 16th....tomorrow.... :(   Also you can buy it on Sony's website, on his page.  Click HERE to buy it from there, but the date is also the 16th there too.... dangitt anyway!!  I guess we'll have to wait till the 16th then!!!!  I know one thing.....I cannot WAIT to get it on my ipod on my iphone!!!  And since I have this ringtone maker, I'm gonna make me a ringtone from it, if I can.....since I'm pretty sure I can't buy the ringtone yet.  But not to worry, I will indeed buy the ringtone when it's available.  Don't want it to seem like I'm stealing anything....lol.... Just getting a jump on it....*borrowing it for awhile* if ya will.  I hope Casey happens on to my blog today sometime.....cause I want to personally tell him................CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am just so proud to be a Casey James fan right now!!!!!!  You don't even know the depth of my excitement right now!!  Casey deserves every bit of this awesome success he's getting right now!!  Every bit of it!!  And when I heard that someone had said that they didn't like people who took 'shortcuts' to fame.....let me tell you right now.....that made my blood boil.....I was so angry at that comment!!  Then I said...."Shortcut to fame?"  "Are you kidding me right now??"  As I stepped forward, *wagging my finger now*....."He worked his a$$ off for 11 years every night in different bars, having to deal with sometimes ungrateful patrons who didn't appreciate his music, getting paid very little for his unbelievable talent, sometimes playing to a nearly empty bar.....Do you know how that kind of stuff makes a 'real' musician feel??  Shortcut??  There's nothing shortcut about 11 years of trying to get somebody to hear you, to really listen to you, and appreciate what you do, and give you a chance!!  He worked hard to get where he is, and by golly he deserves every bit of fame and appreciation he's getting and then some!!"

Then I turned on my heel, looked back and said....."You tell him that!!! And if he still has a problem....give him my number!!!"
I don't like to get angry about anything really, I like peace.....but nothing fires me up quicker than somebody talking down about Casey!  I'm fiercely protective of him.....like an old mother hen....lol.

So I was on youtube and came across this very awesome, and rarely gotten, sound check from the California State Fair a few weeks back.  Most times sound checks are not easily gotten, unless of course they are outside, and this was, so this very cool Casey fan got one of the best sound checks I've ever seen, with lots of 'Casey Laughter'!!   And it's a nice long video, so get a drink, sit back and enjoy this little video!!

Thanks to Marie L. for this great video! :)

Attention:  The footage below is GRAPHIC, some sounds and words may offend you, please view at your own discression.  This one is a compilation of several and it shows rescue efforts and police actions.  The most professional of the ones I viewed:

Ok....I like to keep the conversation and my writing here, light, witty and in good taste.  But something happened Saturday night that I cannot, with good conscious, post this without mentioning it.  The huge stage at the Indiana State Fair crashed to the ground, trapping people, killing 5 and injuring more than 50 (that # has probably grown) people!!   A bad storm with extremely high wind came through very quickly before evacuation efforts could get started.  I have been upset and worried and feeling sad since this happened.  So I am going to post this with the deepest condolences and sadness in my heart for those who lost their lives and all who were injured and their family and all who had to witness this tragedy first hand.  Sugarland was the next to take the stage, and had delayed their show because of the impending storm, and thank goodness no one was on the stage when this happend.  I couldn't help but think....Casey just opened for them a couple weeks ago.....and then the 'what if's' started.  I don't even want to go there because the tragedy would have a different outcome for me and people I love if he had been there.  So I thank the good Lord Casey and a bunch of our friends and fans werent' there, because we are nearly always on the front of that stage, in the sugarpit, where so many died.  I just want to say how sorry I am to all those who lost their life because they love music.  God speed their souls, and have mercy on the ones left behind to mourn their loss.  If you're not a praying or believing person, it's ok,  I will just repeat what Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland said...."We are alright. We are praying for our fans and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you'll join us. They need your strength.  Yes they do, Jennifer.  And I am one who will say prayers for them, and I hope you'll join me as well.  In the video, you will see the sheer strength of people when they are scared for someones life.....as there is a long line of men actually holding the side of the stage up to get to the trapped fans under all of the tons of metal and tarp.  This is the humanity that I believe in....the kind that come together in a crisis, no questions asked....lets just do this!!!  Sorry yall, I'm just so emotional about this....my heart is breaking for all those people.   Anyway, here is the video.

Yall have a good night, I'll check in tomorrow sometime....

Until then......

New Show added to Casey James' growing schedule...and more

A new show has been added to Casey's ever growing schedule!!  Radio station,  98.1 The Bull WBUL announced he will be playing a FREE concert at the Tin Roof in Lexington, Ky. on August 30th, and he will take the stage at 6:00pm and play till 9:00pm!!  Wow! What a long show that will be!  But maybe he'll have an opening act, we'll see.  This looks like a smaller venue, so all those Casey fans anywhere near (or not) Lexington, Kentucky, yall get there if you can!  Remember, we won't be able to see him on these smaller venue stages very much longer, cause he's is going to be a huge success, then we won't hardly be able to get close to him!  Up close to the stage while Casey is performing AND it's FREE.....don't get any better than that!!  Hope lots of fans get to go and bring back lots of stories, pictures and videos for the likes of me!! :)

Earlier tonight, radio station 94.7 Today's KTTS
had a 'New at 9' playoff between Casey James and LDCIAN and Steel Magnolia's 'Bulletproof'.  Well....let me tell you....even the DJ was beside herself with happiness that Casey not only Won it, he "blew it out of the water" and she also said she was "rooting for him the whole time"!!  Now that's what I want to hear from the DJ's!!!  And so far....so good!!  Only good has been said about Casey's song!  For those of you who didn't get to hear it Live....click  HERE  and you can hear it for yourself... :)

I just can't quit listening to "Why I'm Feelin' Blue" as he sang it this morning while in the studio with Big D & Bubba.  So....in case some of you might have missed it....please give this song a good listen.....this is a brilliantly written and performed song....don't get any better, in my opinion.  He has more emotion in his songs than anybody I can think of.....he's a musical genius!!

Also, coming Monday morning, not only is there a new video coming from Big D & Bubba, but it's .....wait for it.........................wait for it.....................

Casey's 1st debut single!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish Casey all the luck in the world with his very first record......"Let's Don't Call It A Night"!!  It is a very radio friendly song, so I think it will break into the Top 20 rather quickly.....and then......it'll probably fly on up to Top 10 and right on to #1!!  Let's not get discouraged if it seems to not be moving quickly enough, sometimes that happens.  But it's ok, it may take a couple months to move into the Top 20, but it will, I have faith in this song and in Casey's performance of it!!    I strongly believe that the video will have a very positive effect on how quickly it moves on the Billboard charts.  A good video to go with it, will only enhance the flavor of the song, and make people remember him easier.  Plus, once they get a look at him....nuff said..... :)

I'm gonna close out tonight with a flash from the past..... here's a couple from a ways back!

Ok, I'll see yall as soon as there's more to tell....take care yall......

Until next time......
