Is there a James/Mayo song in Casey's future?

Well, howdy yall!!  Once again, I'm back with the working world!  My schedule is suppose to be Friday and Saturday nights....5pm to 12.  I went in and worked Friday night then had to turn around and go back in the next morning.....ahhhh I hate that!!  The schedule is never the same, hardly ever!  It's not that I have to be there real early, 11 is not early.  But....I have to leave my house by 10 to be there by 11.  So that means the latest I can get up is 8:30am!  And most of you know, I'm a nite owl who sleeps till 11 at least every day!  8:30 is early to me...... but I did it, without grumbling one bit!!  I was just happy to still have a job to go back to after a summer of vertigo issues!!  Like Casey says.....be happy in your situation, it could always be worse!  I'm pretty sure thats how he says it....yall correct me if I'm wrong, ok?!

Now, as most all of you know, it seems Casey is in Nashville now.  He was a guest at the ASCAP Awards the other night and was seen by many people!  As the yellow note from the other day stated....he was so happy, and getting to meet his favorites!!  You could sense his elation as he described the meeting of many country music legends and stars!  This is just the beginning for him, and he is going to be loved by all of Nashville!  
A couple of Country Musics best songwriters there in Nashville, Aimee Mayo and her husband/writer Chris Lindsey seemed very excited to meet Casey!  And the next thing I knew there was a photo.....

Just look at the smile on Aimee Mayo's face, and bearded Casey's too!!  She is such an accomplished and accredited writer, winning numerous awards for many songs!  Her song that won the most awards is "Amazed" by Lonestar  I've always loved the song, it's  'amazing' !! :) no pun intended, of course....  If you've never heard the song, please click the link, and listen and read the  lyrics as the song unfolds.....so all of you can see what a fantastic songwriter she is!  I am absolutely over the top totally excited about the possibility of Casey writing with her!  And since it was quoted that Casey was setting up writing appointments yesterday, it looks like a Mayo/James duo songwriting collaboration may just be happening sooner than later!!!  I couldn't be happier for Casey!!!

Hopefully we'll get some more news soon about Casey's comings and goings there in Nashville!  I know he must be floating on cloud nine getting to meet and hang out with so many of the Country Music Industries biggest names!!  

Also....I wanted to thank everybody who voted for Caseymania for Best Fan Site!!!  3rd place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so honored that yall voted so diligently for this little site that has taken up so much of my time......but gladly!!  LOL!! :) I love it and I'm so happy that so many of you do too!!!  It's a part of us now....and will be for a long time to come!!!!!!  Thank you all so very much!!!!!!!!

Casey is in touch with his twitter fans.....I rest my case.....

Well.....I hate to say it......but I told ya so.  I knew Casey would be in touch when he was ready to.  It's not up to us.....it's his decision when he contacts us!  So....now that he has, I couldn't be happier about what he had to say!!!  For those of you who don't twitter.....here's the yellow note we love so much!! :)

Is he excited or what???  See??  What a bunch of rest and relaxation does for him??  Now yall try to calm down and know that he's not gonna leave for very long....he'll be in touch!!!
And......since he was having such a blast in Nashville with his new label and all, he got to see first hand his name on the BNA artist plaque!!!  Can you see the pride in his face (bearded face....that is??) lol!!

Awwww....that is so sweet!!!    ok, gotta stop, I'm tearing up now.....that is a sight for sore eyes....it is!!!  I can see him beaming with pride as he stands pointing to his name on a brand new record label that is going to take him into the future to being a household name in no time!!  I am just so proud of him, and proud for him!!  His momma must be on cloud 9 right now!!!  Oh, and his brother too, of course!!
I know all of you are so excited for him!!!  Next step.....a record!!  I hope he gets in the studio quickly.....I'm anxious to hear that first song!!!!!  :)

Ok, yall.....this is all I can do for now, believe it or not......I go back to work today!!!  Yay!!!!  I've been needing to get back, cause this setting at home is making me fatter!!!  Hehehehe!!  Ok, I'll probably be back late tonight after my shift, I'll be working from 5 to 11 or 12 tonight.  Talk to all of you then!!  Later.......

Where's Casey? He's in LA.....no.....Nashville.....

Hey yall....seems our boy has come out of his two week reprieve to do some jetting across the country and back!  We're not really sure about everything, but he definitely was in Nashville last night, a guest at the ASCAP awards!  The ASCAP is the songwriters award night, and looks like Casey was there on the red carpet, according to Stacy McCloud a Fox Entertainment Reporter in Nashville!  Although Ms McCloud did not get a chance to talk with Casey, it was obvious he was there and people were talking!  Namely, Aimee Mayo, one of Nashville's top songwriters who had said early on that she would like to do some writing with Casey!  What an honor that is going to be for him!  A top writer in the business wants him to cowrite what could possibly be a huge hit for him!  This is great news for Casey, and a good omen (to me, that is) that Nashville is taking him very seriously!

At this time, I could not find a picture anywhere of Casey on the Red Carpet, but maybe something will surface soon!  This is such great news for our boy, and I'm just so excited for him, I feel like screaming to the world, "Told ya So"!


It looks like Nashville is going to welcome him with open arms, and I'm proud to say that I predicted that about 6 months ago and also that he would be signed with Capitol Records!  Well, I was not exactly right about Capitol, per se....but.....Capitol IS owned by Sony Nashville, and is a sister company to BNA!  So....I was close.....

Just a quick reminder, and there will be more, about the 44th Annual CMA Awards  show airing on November 10th at 8/7c on ABC.  Casey will definitely be at this show, but it would be awesome to see him perform or be a presenter at this show!  That could be a possibility, but I'm not sure about anything.  Click on the link above and follow them on Facebook, Twitter,Myspace and Youtube!  We can send them messages and ask that Casey be included in the show this year, and maybe they will listen to us, if enough of us ask!  So, if you get a chance just a quick message should do the trick!  Thanks to all of you!  


I know that some of you are beginning to get impatient with Casey not tweeting anyone.  I'm asking all of you to please.....please give him time!  We have no clue how much his life has changed, but we can imagine.  But I don't think we can even come close to imagining how MUCH it has changed.  Everything he was accustomed to doing before the show, is no more!  It's all gone, the life he knew before he got on that plane for Hollywood is now his past!  He will never again know the comfort of walking down the street, going in a Mall, or even buying a cup of coffee without someone noticing who he is!  Can you imagine?  Just put yourself in his shoes for just a minute, and think about it.....all the normal things we take for granted, like driving to the store, or going to a movie, or eating at a restaurant, we can do those things and most certainly will not be mobbed by people, interupting what we are trying to do, to get an autograph, or a hug, or a picture or to ask a question, or just to talk to you....no....it won't happen to us.....but it will happen to him, and has been happening to him for a while now!  All he is asking is just a little down time!  He's not leaving us forever.....he needs a break from us.....he needs a break from all the questions, the pictures, the screams!  He still loves us, and we are a very important part of his life, but we need to back off, and give him his space.... his peace of mind.  Let him relax and rejuvenate his soul....he needs that so much.  That is what we can do to help him right now!  He is already starting to get going on the new life, by jetting to LA and back to Nashville, but that's all part of his career, and it's just the beginning, and we need to let him know, we'll be here for him till the end....supporting him in his brand new journey as a country music artist!  We loved and supported him all the way through Idol and on the Tour, we cannot abandon him now.....so all of you who are getting catty and impatient.....it's not about YOU!  It's about Casey, so get off your high horse and get back on the Casey Train.....he needs you and we need you!!!  Please don't fill up my comments with a bunch of hate , if you don't like what I'm saying, you must not be a true Casey fan anyway.....just sayin'......

So.....what's next for Casey.....for us?

Hey everybody....hope your day is going great!  I got up too early this morning and I'm still tired, but maybe writing some will make me relax so I can take a nap!  We got some damage from the storms the other day and the roof has a hole in it and leaking....not fun!  So, the guy came out this morning to estimate the damage and the whole roof needs replacing and we have a friend who is a roofer, so hopefully he can do it at a better price for us, and no more leaking!   Thank goodness, there's only so much you can do with buckets and towels! :)

Well, sources say Casey is leaving for Nashville today, but rumors have been flying and we weren't exactly sure when he was leaving Ft. Worth.  But, from what Debra tweeted this morning, looks like he has business in LA and in Nashville.  Here it is in her own words in reply to the question if Casey was in Nashville yet:

"Not yet..business in LA and Nashville first I believe"

So....he's still doing business in both cities!  But good news on the health side concerning Casey from her as well:

"Casey's slowly gaining ground on his respiratory problem thank goodness. Thank you all." 

I, for one, couldn't be happier to hear that!  We've all been so concerned about his health issues for quite a while.....just about this whole year!  Bless his heart, I bet he's feeling so much better!  I'm so happy to get this news!  Thanks Debra for filling us in!!


I'm assuming that most of you have seen the video's shot in Dallas last Friday night and noticed his shorter "doo" he's sporting!!  I like it, as long as it don't get cut short, I'm good with how Gino is cutting his hair!!  But he was donning another look as well.....the beard.....and it was thick, so I'm assuming he's been growing it since he got off the tour and returned home!  I just don't prefer him with the beard.....he looks older to me, but it's a good incognito look......yea right......Casey James we would know you if you had a bucket on your head!!!  Ha Ha!!  
But.....for those who are not the Casey fanatic, well, he could probably slip through a crowd unnoticed, with that look!
I'm sure by now the pandemonium of the tour has settled a bit, and he should be able to walk around without a disguise, but who knows......after his performances on that tour he picked up thousands of more fans!  So maybe he can't do that anymore.   But I do know that not everybody watches American Idol or goes to the tour shows and with this years declining ratings......there were even less people tuning in and paying their hard earned bucks for the pricey seats!
One thing I know for sure......life as he knew it in Texas before American Idol is now in his past.  And I'm sure he will miss that freedom to come and go as he pleases without being noticed by some people.  After his blazing hot sets on the tour over the summer, he has surely put to rest any rumors that he was nothing but a 'pretty face looking for a shortcut to fame!'   But all of that talk comes with the business, you have to turn your head away from the negative crap, and if you want a record deal, you need the fans to buy your music and come to your shows.....simple as that!  And with Casey's strong attitude and knowing who he is, and how to deal with the negative comments like a pro, there won't be a problem there. 
Oh, I'm sure he'll be able to 'steal away' to some winter resort in Colorado for some down time, without being too obvious that he's hiding out.  And we need to let him do that, as fans.  Besides, there's resorts that alot of the stars go to, to 'get away' from it all and he could do that.  But the rest of the time, he will become accustomed to fans clamoring for his attention at every show!  He said he enjoyed the fans at the shows, and I'm sure he did, but even famous people have to take a break from all the craziness that is their life, from time to time.  I'm sure this summer was a BIG wake up call for him and how his future was going to be, so I'm sure he will just need to take breaks from us, from time to time to just relax and have nothing on his mind and nobody screaming his name.  I'm good with that, because I would not want to be in his shoes.  The music business seems so glamorous, but it's anything but that!  It's very hard work, lot's of traveling, radio station interviews, photo shoots, video shoots, in the studio perfecting his songs, personal appearances, and about a million other things that just wear a person to a frazzle literally!  And I am concerned about his future health, having to stay so busy, but hopefully he will get into a groove and roll with it, and learn how to get the rest he needs to stay healthy.  I know, I sound like an old mother hen, but I am so concerned about his health issues, and hope that some miracle medicine will come along and cure him completely once and for all, of his ailments!  Then we and everybody else can stop worrying so much about him! :)

Omgoodness!!!  Yall have to see this, it is so funny!!!!  THIS is what we want to see Casey be a part of Next year!  It's called the "Country Weekly Fashion Show"!!  They have this every year in Nashville and it is part of the CMA fest lineup!!!  We somehow have to get Casey in this!!!  In this video though, my other Idol boy Bucky Covington becomes a.....wait for it.........a.........wait for it........A RUNWAY COACH?!?!  It is hilarious!!!  Bucky is always full of it.....he's always cutting up and quite funny!!  And this video is proof of his witty self!!  Appearing with him in this video is the group, "Trailor Choir", Katy Armiger, Sara Darling, Whitney Duncan and Bucky's twin brother, Rocky Covington.  Of course this is just a parody of the real event that takes place every year!!  But I could see Casey being invited to do this really soon, so as to be in it for next year!!  Bucky is in it every year, so I'm sure we could get Casey in there as beautiful as he is!!!!  I'll try and find out how WE can request his presence there next year!  Oh, and many of you may want to go ahead and purchase your tickets for CMA fest next year, it happens in the 2nd week of June every year, and everybody whose anybody is there!!!  It's a 4 day event just full of cool things to do!!!  The earlier you get your tickets the better seats you get!  I'll put the link to it below this video!!!  Yall leave me comments and tell me if you think you could see our Casey there!!! :)
