First leg of the Casey James Taste of Country Christmas Tour

I'm so sorry this is so late....but I was having internet issues!!  I think everything is ok now... we'll see!!  Wow....where to begin..... I had a *blast* at all 3 shows!!!  I hadn't seen them perform in 5 1/2 months, so I was very far behind!
On Thursday Nov. 15th I met my friend Beth (birthday girl) at the DFW airport where I parked my vehicle and we got a rental car.  We were both ready for this awesome 3 day adventure!!  We both had our VIP tickets for all 3 shows and we took off headed for Abilene, Tx. for the first show!

I think we got to Abilene about 3 or 4 pm and we had to be at the venue for the VIP experience by 6 pm.  So no time for a nap, which we were hoping for.  We just cleaned up and got ready for the show.  The VIP was pure bliss....absolutely everything you could ask for, except....they wouldn't let us take pictures or do any recording of any kind.  I didn't care I got to sit about 6 feet from Casey as he and his sweet momma, Debra sang so beautifully together!!  They couldn't think of anything to sing at first, and I started to make a request, but thought I may not suppose to do that, so I didn't.  He didn't ask for requests, so I kept quiet.  They ended up singing "Sea of Heartbreak", an old Don Gibson song and 2 more I cannot remember to save my life right now....but all I know is they were all good songs.  Then some questions were asked by a few people, including me.  I asked Casey if it was true that he knew the song by Tonic called "If you could only see".  He quickly answered that Yes, in fact he did know and do that song.  He then said, "that would have been a good one, why didn't you say something?"  My answer was...."duh....I don't know".........what???   who says that to Casey James when he's asking you a question???  I think I also said, "I didn't know if I was suppose to or not....duh....duh....duh.....such a dummy.... lol!!  Anyway, he then said, "I'll do that one tomorrow..."  I don't know what I said after that, Casey just made my day....my month, my year.....totally!!!  I guess I need to explain my obsession with the Tonic song.  The night my 20 yr. old son passed away, he and his friend, Danny were singing every word to  this song on the radio, they loved the song........then he got on a motorcycle and about 5 minutes later, he lost his life.................... so.............. this song means the world to me, because it's the last song he sang on this earth.  I didn't want to tell Casey this, but I did tell Debra.  So I have a good clear memory of him playing and singing that song for me, the next day,  and him not knowing what he was doing for me.  It just was one of the sweetest things ever!  I did make it out of the room before losing it.  It was so amazing to me, and I cried half my make up off.  :)  But it's ok, I got my song....many thanks to Casey for making a dream come true for me.  :)

The band opening for Casey was J.B. and the Moonshine band.  They were pretty good, but I didn't waste any of my battery on them, I was there to see Casey.  I'm sorry if that sounded mean, it wasn't meant that way.  I just know my battery will barely last for Casey's show, so I didn't want to use any of it on other bands.
Now it's time for Casey and the awesome band!!!  We were all very excited!!!  There were new fans there getting to see Casey perform for the first time!!!  They were in awe.....to say the least!!!  Casey started out with "The Good Life", then "Bulletproof", (one of my favs!!) and I'm not sure about the rest of the order....but I got a few pictures and videos.  Here are some of them from the Alilene show.

I love this one of Dino....he's into his music!

"Crying on a Suitcase"

On this video toward the end, you'll hear a lot of stuff going on, so listen closely.....you'll hear me say...."You can't get up there......watch out Casey!!!"  LoL!!!  This girl had put her hands on mine and Beth's shoulders and threw her cowboy booted leg up on the stage and catapulted herself up onto the stage and proceeded to walk up to Casey.....Well, I was trying to warn him in case she was gonna run up and kiss him or stab him....I didn't know who she was.  But as it turns out, she was just an anxious fan who wanted a picture with Casey, and you can hear Debra talking to her, because I think the girl started crying so Debra was consoling  her.  But after everything is said and done....it was a good laugh!!

Crying on a Suitcase in Abilene

Ya know, I've been up all night working on this....it's now 4:17 am and I'm so tired.  I will get back on here and work some more on it tomorrow.  Maybe I'll just do a city a day....tomorrow will be Wichita Falls.  A lot of my Abilene videos were not uploaded yet, or any of the rest of them, as a matter of fact.  I've only got a few loaded, but I will get yall some more goodies tomorrow!! A great big thanks to luvcaseyjames for the great videos shared with us here.

Until then.....

Casey James supports St. Jude's, new shows, pics, videos and more...

It's amazing to me that November is nearly half over....already!!  The holidays are coming on fast!  And that means it's time to resurrect all those decorations, (if ya hadn't already...lol) and get ready for the 2012 Holiday season.  And here at Caseymania, we begin the process of gathering our names for the Christmas Card Exchange!  If you've done this since the beginning, 2010 to be exact, you know this is a load of fun!  It was stressful in the beginning and last year I had help doing it, but this year I took a suggestion from my friend, Cyndee.  We have started an EVENT on Facebook, and all you need to do is go to the page (click the link above) and click on "GOING" and leave me message with your address on it.  You will then be added to the list.  If you are not on Facebook, you can send me an email to redbird49tex@gmail.com   So far we have about 32 or 33 who have committed, so the price of the postage with that many would be around $13.00 - $14.00.  Of course I want each of you to be unique with your cards, and make it truly shine with your personality!  In the past a lot of us have gathered our pictures of Casey and ourselves, and made Christmas Cards from our favorites.  There are several sites that help you to create your own cards.  Snapfish is one that I like to use.  Others are Walgreens Photo and Wal Mart Photo, you can make your own there as well.  Or, if you choose to make yours by hand, to put a real personal touch to them, you can do that too!  Or if you just like normal, regular Christmas Cards, then send them too!  :)  Thats the beauty of the CCE, there are no real rules as to how you do your Christmas Cards to send out.  You can do it your way.  :)

Ok, let me see how much stuff I can talk about....

First of all, Casey and the guys are supporting St. Judes Childrens Research and Hospital this year, and have started a Team effort to raise $10,000 for the charity.  They are doing so by joining in on 'No Shave November' to raise as much as they can, and they won't shave the whole month!  We can help them reach their goal!  If you would like to make a donation in Casey's name you can do so by going HERE and signing up.  Or if you are already signed up, you can just go donate at any time you like this month.  Here is a picture of the guys in the beginning of the No Shave period.   Hmmmm....did Casey get a head start?!  LoL!!  Like he said in an interview...."I just shaved this morning!"  Hahaha!!

Casey had a very cute interview with Lea, a DJ for a syndicated show.  She pulled some stuff out of him, I hadn't heard....a snake handler....really??  Haha!!  Watch this.....

There are a couple new shows that popped up.  One is in San Antonio, Texas at Cowboy's Dancehall, on the 11th of December.  It's KJ's Star Party, and they have the best new stars of 2012 for it!   On the bill will be Casey James, Thomas Rhett, Dustin Lynch, Janna Kramer and  Kip Moore.
Also Casey and the guys have a new show coming up in Manhattan, Kansas at the Country Stampede!  Casey has been added to the growing list of stars that are going to grace the stages there on June 27th - 30th 2013!  Casey's set will be on Saturday, the 29th at 5:30 pm.

We have some really nice pictures from the Des Moines show from last weekend!  Our friend Donna took pictures and managed to get a little video before getting *busted!*  Some of those arenas don't allow videoing, so we have to learn to do some hiding tricks. :)  and sometimes we still get caught...I did too, so don't feel bad miss Donna... :)  The things we do to get our Casey footage....

I love the new T-Shirt at Casey's Merchandise table and site.  It's a rundown of all his shows for the last few months.

Here are some of Donna's wonderful shots from last weekend!  She always has some awesome ones!!  Thanks a lot girl!!!

I just love the fun Casey and all his precious band members have on stage!!  They were a group just meant to happen....I believe that with my whole heart....they were put together by the  powers that be.  :)

Here's the videos she managed to get.

And I LOVE the intro he does on this one.....whoooo hooooo

And here's "Crying on a Suitcase"

Casey is on the November 19th issue of Country Weekly, and I haven't gotten my issue yet  so not sure what is said in it, but it's the one with Alan Jackson on the cover!

Ok, that's about it for me, for now.... yall remember to keep voting for the video and requesting "Crying on a Suitcase".  Also, go to  Supporting Casey and you'll find all the ongoing voting and requesting information with one-click ease!!

Yall take care....I'm going on my first roadtrip in a while....to see Casey and the boys this weekend!!  I'll be back with goodies, that is, if nothing goes wrong!  See yall soon!!!

CMA's, BMI, The Highway, 'No Shave Nov.', and much more!

It's good to be back with yall, after quite a sick spell!  I just felt horrible and not up to doing anything!  But I'm better now, and trying to catch up with all that I've missed out on!!

The CMA's were awesome this year!!  Lot's of winning going on with Blake and Miranda, and they even had a first for the Awards show.... the first husband and wife to win 'song of the year' for "Over You"... a song the couple wrote about the loss of Blake's older brother years ago.  Miranda was crying big tears, and I could tell Blake was choked up, but somehow he held it together.  That was a very heart wrenching moment in the show.  One day I hope to see Casey winning that award!
All the time this was going on, Casey was co-hosting on "The Highway" XM Radio there in Nashville.  They were about 100 feet from all the action as the 'pretty people' as Casey called them, strolled the red carpet and into the Bridgestone Arena.  Casey James Weekly was kind enough to get audios of all the performances he did on "The Highway!!"  Click HERE to go to her page and listen to the whole thing!!  There were a couple of pictures that surfaced as well!  Thanks so much Jen!!
And  he was also Interviewed by Big D and Bubba on the Red Carpet!

Ok, I want to know how many people know that Casey sweats 'hearts'....?   Can it be??  But how???  Is he just so lovable that the powers that be puts a 'sweat heart' on him?!?  Haha!!  I know, it sounds impossible....but it's true...  Casey does sweat hearts....

Thanks to Diana G. for her lovely photo!

Thats just amazing....and I believe there are more pictures, but I'll have to locate them.  But ain't that something??  I've never seen anything like it....

Also last week, there was the BMI awards also going on in Nashville, on October 30th, just before the CMA's   And Casey was in attendance!  Here are 2 photos of him and Hunter Hayes!

Wow!!  They are both looking good all dressed up in their Sunday duds!!  I am so glad to see Hunter is finally getting some recognition for his crazy mad talent!  The kid is a walking talent machine!  He plays nearly every instrument known to man, writes his own songs, sings like an angel and all of this and he's still in his teens!  By the age of 4 he was performing with an accordian and singing in front of a live audience on the Maury Povich show!  And the oddest thing of all....none of his family is musically touched....they don't know where it came from!   I think it may be a God-given talent.... ;)

Casey and all the band members are taking part in "No Shave November", a fundraiser event to raise money for St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital!  They are excited about this and ask that you  give what you can, if you can.  So join Team Casey to help find a cure to childhood cancer!  Click the link below to donate today!

There are more new items at Casey's Official Merchandise page!  Check back often, they seem to be adding new things quickly!!

And last but not least by any means....Casey was on GAC TV and was interviewed by Storme Warren.  I love this!!  Thanks a bunch to Lisa P for her videos!

Well folks.... I'm about to scoot on out of here, but before I do, I want to leave you with this beautiful instrumental called "Sleep Walk" as the lead was performed by David Kurrasch on steel guitar!!  Casey and the band joined in as well.  Oh man..... he's so talented....and they are quite the awesome band, together!!!

Ok, I'll be back soon, yall take care....

Until next time.....
